Johnny Jr. isn’t the new face in our story. He is part of the Queen and the Cyan arc, and in the final episode he is part of the ensemble of Ghostblade, Loli, Loli’s father and Nuonuo. Compared to others, when he was affected by fear, we learned a little about his family life – he used to have a happy family that was only stolen by him because his parents were both dead. This week, we witnessed these events firsthand. But more importantly, we are fully introduced to the little Johnny’s father Sheng, through which we can not only have a deeper understanding of the limitations of trust-based superpowers, but also the inner workings of the superhero society during the period before DJ Shindig.
Unlike the other X numbers we saw on the show, Sheng is a therapist, not a fighter. It is said that his ability can heal anything. However, he couldn’t cure one thing: his wife’s illness. Interestingly, this disease (whatever it is) may be completely unaffected by his power. Instead, Shane seems to be so attached to his wife – afraid that he might not be able to heal her – he becomes incurable.
Even in the first episode of the series, we saw this. Although the trust of all Nice’s followers flowed into his body, it was not until Lin Lin believed in herself that he could use this power to defeat his old boss.
Sheng became X not because he cared about becoming the greatest hero in the world, but because becoming a top hero can give him the best medical staff and technology in the world. Therefore, with his wife’s death, he gave up his title and retired to become a hero. This move not only seems unprecedented, but also leaves a vortex as X weak X as he inherits the title rather than winning the vortex through his skills and popularity.
There are a lot of subtexts in this episode, especially in Shane’s side. It is obvious that as the supreme hero, he is honored with all kinds of high-level secrets, and the people behind the scenes do not believe he will shut up. That’s probably why Ghostblade was sent to assassinate him after he met Vortex – it seems both X people collude with anyone even the least paranoid.
To be fair, Sheng is opposing those who pull the strings. Even before he retired (and effectively cut these strings), he hid the presence of Johnny in the alien life form. He was undoubtedly acting dark, if not details, that was the case. Furthermore, Sheng’s actions almost certainly hindered investigations into UFOs and their technologies. After all, metal alloys that can stop trust and fear make more sense when you know the aliens who make it change according to people’s emotional state.
The plot ends with a dramatic, even predictable cliff. Sheng died, and Little Johnny mistakenly blamed Vortex on the vortex, not Ghostblade. This in turn led to Big Johnny running Amok and starting to smash the nearby villages. So now we are in a mess, these three battles (and the Ghostblade watch). It’s a solid beginning of Little Johnny’s story, with some great world building, but I’m glad to see his life between these events and his life in meeting the Cyan Queen than those in the chapter we’ve heard before.

•I’m glad to see that “bullies” end up being just ordinary kids, and when they grow up, Johnny’s growing up for a few years, turned them all into good friends.
•I am interested in this mysterious 2 hero, and Waterks thinks it is such a huge threat that he is willing to come to his ex and beg him to retire.
•I wonder if Johnny was reveling at the end of the Queen and the Ghost’s arc because what Johnny little figured out was that the ghost killed his father rather than the vortex.
• “Debt” is mentioned in the past (and in e-soul’s “Character Story Movie”). It refers to what we call “0 years” events, in which the highest hero (zero) seems to have gained God-like power and turned into evil. He is for a young hero: e-soul. After that, he is stopped. After that, the committee is formulated to prevent this from happening again, and e-soul is crowned with the first X.
