I’m always impressed by anything I draft initially Itagaki Paru That’s why when the series opened I was completely sold on a ridiculous premise. Riverdale, but furry? Sign me up! ghost cuckold? No more to say! drug dealer tim allen’s Santa Claus But as a high-concept vehicle for exploring adolescence and how society fetishizes it? Sounds weird, but ‘ok!

Sanda It’s about the titular fourteen-year-old Sandashe is revealed to be a descendant of Santa Claus and therefore able to transform into the muscular mythical creature when his classmate Fuyumura asks for help in finding her missing friend Ono. Admittedly, Dongcun made this request through stabbing Sanda and forced him to turn into Santa Claus because the blood on his shirt meant he was technically wearing red, but I learned early on to focus on the thematic significance of Santa Claus Itagaki Paru Union rather than specific details.

While there’s definitely some interesting stuff in The Santa Claus Myth Sanda By far – like Santa being fireproof because he comes down the chimney, or things falling around him when people lie to him so he can tell the difference between naughty kids and good ones – I’m more interested in the near-future world in which this story takes place. While we don’t have many details so far, the story takes place in a world where children are almost worshiped and their development is heavily scrutinized due to declining birth rates. Principal of a complex school Sanda With Fuyumura in attendance, the apparent main villain Osebu is a 92-year-old man whose body essentially looks like that of a younger man’s, save for withered hands, thanks to advanced plastic surgery.

Sanda Opening with some great ideas rooted in some of the most complex cultural issues of our time, I’m curious to see its arguments take shape in the episodes to come.

I should also note science saruWonderful animation makes it easier to understand even the most distant elements of this story. People are more likely to accept Santa being protected from flames when the animation team makes it look cool for him to survive an explosion. The animation team behind Sanda also use Itagaki ParuIts famously expressive and minimalist art style is used to great effect and manages to make the characters react as much as the impossible events happening on screen.

I have also watched these episodes in English dubbing And, while I found the acting to be a bit over the top even for animation, the direction in beast star Anime adaptation, I think the same is true here. Especially shout out ben balmaceda Gives Santa just the right amount of Crafty Grandpa energy. All in all, the first three episodes Sanda sets the premise and tone of this anime perfectly, and while it certainly won’t be for everyone, it will hit hard with those who enjoy it.
