Topco Media, parent company of South Korean online platform Topoon, announced on September 3 that it will launch a brief animation service for Webtoons using its proprietary AI technology.
According to the company, the new service is designed to maintain a collaborative structure with creators while providing subscribers with an enhanced immersive experience. The launch is scheduled to take place later this month.
The service will enable readers to go beyond static viewing by experiencing network toes with increased motion effects. Premium subscribers will also access special episodes and AI-produced short animations that expand Webtoons to animated content.
The company hopes that the product will establish itself as a hybrid form of content consumption, combining video and interactivity beyond traditional reading experiences.
