80 Years After WWII, Hiroshima Screens Grave of the Fireflies for Free to Anyone Under 25 – Interest

Ghibli movies will also be aired on Japanese TV on the end of the war
Hiroshima City Photography and Audiovisual Library announced on July 8 that it will screen Isagohata and Studio GhibliHistorical films of 1988 fire. Tickets for the performance are 510 yen for adults and 250 yen for seniors (65 years old) (3.50 US dollars respectively) (3.50 US dollars respectively, and 1.70 US dollars respectively), but those under 25 years old are free to enter. The library will screen 35mm prints on August 10 and 11 on August 10 and 11.

The screening is part of a commemoration for 80 years since the atomic bombing. As part of the commemoration, the library will hold a 2025 peaceful cinema from July to September. The library hopes that attendees will “inherit the reality of atomic bombing and share ideas about peace through the film.”
