Patch together DunkEnglish Publishing History Last year, I talked with some industry veterans about the challenges facing sports champions in North America. One of these experienced professionals is Ed Chavezpublisher Danpa. As we chatted about these specific movement disorders, Chavez and his team went deep into the production of the English version Mitsuru Adachi‘ Short game. At the time, Chavez planned to release a baseball-focused short story anthology by the end of 2024, but a series of unforeseen delays pushed it toward late June 2025.
Unplanned setbacks are nothing new Danpaand another title they are highly anticipated, Moto Hagio‘ They are eleven years oldexperiences bumpy on the publishing road. But publishers’ dedication to frequent, candid and transparent updates on social media channels is the fresh air of situations that often lead to radio silence. After taking the final product in my hands, I can say with certainty that the wait is worth it. Short game It’s a shockingly refined version, no wonder it’s from the American Comic Awards.
Originally published in 2014, the anthology contains five collections of short stories centered on the relationship between high school baseball. Whether it’s a blooming teen romance, a slightly stormy team party, or a father’s hope for his son, the sport is used as a glue to bring these characters together, but that’s not the point. If you’re looking for more crazy sports stories, Dunk or Yowamushi pedal Probably in your alley. These bits usually have any easy experience that creativity can be associated with – I know I did. Alternating stories and fragments make the anthology flowing and breeze, allowing readers to spread across each story.
No matter what Short game Being read, undeniable Danpa Royal treatment for this title is given.
