Sanrio Becomes 4th Biggest Shareholder of Production I.G, Wit Studio’s Parent – News

IG Port – Parent company of Animation Studio Production of IG and Witty Studioand publishers Magazine Garden – It has established capital and business alliances with roles and commodity companies on Tuesday Sanrio. IG Port issued 929,100 shares through a third party distribution, worth 1,750 yen (approximately US$12) and raised a total of 1,625,925,000 yen (approximately US$11.19 million) from sales Sanrio. The deal will take effect on July 3.
IG Port will use the 1 billion yen from the transaction as a cooperation project for Sanrioand train new creators and provide funding for their works. The remaining 600 million yen will be allocated to update production systems and maintain infrastructure, such as working PCs for animations, servers and data centers.
With the stock acquisition, Sanrio Now it is the fourth largest shareholder of IG Port NTT DOCOMO. Founder, CEO and President of IG Port Mitsuhisa Ishikawa Owning 18.9% of the company, followed by tooth Group and NTVeach owns 9.85% of the company.
