Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World Season 2 Anime Series Review – Review

Not every day the delays between the series that see anime experience are huge, and these series are not divided into separate specials, seasons or series. Of course, sometimes it happens – it happens piece Earlier this yearFor example, for example, in most cases, the anime industry only accepts that what would have been a long-running anime divided into separate seasons, usually several months apart. So a similar series Our Last Crusade or the Rise of the New World Season 2 (after OLC) aired nine months between each other, an extremely rare and unusual phenomenon in this landscape.

Review: Nearly five years after the first season aired, the first four episodes OLC Broadcast summer 2024. Then, the series was delayed indefinitely”Maintain quality“(You can’t maintain something that doesn’t exist, but what). Let’s keep a clear attitude toward something: it’s the right decision without a doubt. The animations in the first four episodes are cruel and sometimes ridiculous. It’s the legendary thing, and what you can really believe is that kind of thing.

Some background: In theory, Alice is here trying to get ISKA’s arm close to her. In practice, she looks more like she is trying to amputate her limbs, or at least crushing his bones like walnuts between her huge murder melons. The first four episodes seem sloppy, but this is arguably the worst. I say “can say” just because if you’re asking me it looks so bad, it can loop and get clever, I love it. I stopped by my track when I first saw it, trying to decipher what kind of horror movie Alice’s breasts do here. After all, no day passed, and I didn’t think of this “beautiful” (Boobyful?) moment. This is iconic and I will think about it for the rest of the time.

That said, the reason for the series is not difficult literally, let alone why it was delayed for so long. So, hearing all this, your first question might be: “When the series comes back, does it look better?” Although you might think of it – although nearly a year has passed, it finally recovered, the answer is: “Yes, but that’s just because it’s a low-point clearance standard.”

Honestly, it took a while (more than I should have) and brought me into a suitable result OLCThis review is animated because it provides you with a variety of animation qualities. In its worst moments, it’s a very effective F that it surrounds and turns into meme material. But sarcasm and jokes stand out from the equation, and its best moments (rarely, but still appearing) are good, but not very good. Usually, it’s just looking at the lower end of the repairable (C-). Specifically, this means there are many moments of deviation and there are multiple obvious stylistic inconsistencies between plots. However, in OLCThe defense, repairable lower end is still one step higher than the above example. Plus, late in the series, by that moment, you’ll miss it in the blink of an eye, and they’ve given some much-needed polish. So it’s very good.

But, like the talk, I can’t hold up the visuals forever. Let’s move to another key aspect of production value: audio. Music has its moments, but it’s not the type of soundtrack you might have reserved for some real estate in your brain. Meanwhile, when it comes to sub versus Dubbingfor the subbed version, it’s a simple win. Miyuki Sawashiro (ELLETEAR) and Sora Amamiya (Alice) especially did a great job in their respective roles. As for DubbingBroadly speaking, sound performance itself is OK. The biggest highlight is undoubtedly Anairis Quiñones AsThe seductive big sister Baddie” (A gentle spoiler warning if you want to read the context that Quiñones says). Dubbingbecause of the voices of several characters that don’t match, because of their age, sound too mature, and in many cases they are naive when they are not on the battlefield.

So, how is this season OLC? The good news is that delays don’t have much effect to kill the momentum the series has built up at that time. The bad news is because its central plot is often difficult to follow. This season is not without its advantages. That is, the Love Wedge symbol between Iska, Alice, and Sisbell. Now they have to constantly interact with each other, and the new dynamics that come with ISKA act as Sisbell’s bodyguards, the way to watch the core of high school is adorable, iSka and Alice are especially helplessly trying to flirt with each other without making their intentions too obvious (of course, it’s very obvious, it’s very obvious). It’s so thick that it’s easy for me to imagine that some people find it too annoying to enjoy. As for me, I found it very charming and by far, this is my favorite aspect OLC.

The romantic piece between ISKA and Alice has the added benefit of making their characters more likable this time. There are also some other roles this season that can be tried and tried, and there are different results in this regard. However, our two main characters, Iska and Alice, feel that they actually have a certain dimension and cuteness. OLC It’s easier to spend than last season.

Unfortunately, romance (although a key part of the series) is far from the main attraction. Instead, this should be the politics of all this, not only in conflict between opposite factions, but also in areas where there is not too deep, in the above factions. But like the first season OLC There is still this problem, and many of your abilities to follow the story will depend on the knowledge you handle and how the world is built, either poorly explained or at a level of intensiveness. Even if you are not lost, there is nothing exciting here.

If I were asked if I liked this season better than the first one, I would say I did it, but not because I thought it was great. To put it, I call it OK, but it’s still an improvement over the first season. After all, at least season 2 has a much-deserved romance between Iska and Alice, which I think not only makes me like them, but also the series overall bigger. still, OLC For the number of world-building and political plots that can be stuffed into 12, 24-minute plots, it is still too ambitious for the number of world-building and political plots. This is a step in the right direction, but literally its shortcomings are still obvious.
