Kana Hanazawa: Echika has a genius-like qualities and a loneliness atmosphere. She always shows cool expressions, making her look mysterious and difficult to read. Harold, on the other hand, is the exact opposite. He performed well, participated in the conversation – so much that you sometimes forget that he was a magician. He has a natural charm to attract people. At first glance, their partnership doesn’t seem to match, but considering Echika’s tendency to keep others apart, someone like Harold’s effortless approach to someone might actually be her perfect match.

How did you convey echika through your voice performance? Is there something unique about her in her voice?

Hanazze: I drew a lot of inspiration from the original novel.

Reading this story from the perspective of echika, I realized that deep down, she was often in trouble. She relies heavily on her abilities and strives to push herself, often ignoring the risks. So I focused on portraying the subtle emotions hidden behind her calm appearance and elaborate on the way she gradually opened to Harold.

Hanazze: The biggest attraction of this story is its high-quality sci-fi mystery and the evolving relationship between Echika and Harold.

Can robots be mindful? What is the healthy relationship between humans and robots? Through the heartfelt interaction between Echika and Harold, I feel that this story prompts us to reflect on these issues.

Is there an exciting or exciting moment that impresses you?

Hanazze: This story is taken seriously, but thanks to cat lover Totoki-san for appearing frequently, bringing comfort moments. The cat looks real, but it is actually a robot! Since I have allergies to dogs and cats, I can’t help but think: “I can have that one at all!” – I’m a little jealous.
