No Character is Safe in Hell’s Paradise

Hell Paradise attracts the hearts of many people due to its unique environment, cute characters and gorgeous animations. How anime is visually manifested, and how the story effectively conveys its various potential branching paths. In the anime New York City 2025, original comic creator Yūjikaku Anime producer Kirito Iwashita participated in a group showing the upcoming season, which will debut early next year. Yūjikaku Explained that he was happy to see the cast coming together for next season, especially since he was very bad for the production of the anime.

He explained that he did not want to micromanage employees. Philosophy of Kaku’s writing Hell’s paradise All is not weakening the blow when hitting the audience with emotions. He doesn’t want to create a predictable story, even for him, because if he can predict what happened, then the audience will do the same. He also likes to Hell’s paradiseThe main opponents, because they exist to conflict with themselves in order to create something beautiful. Outside the panel discussion, the anime news network had the opportunity to sit down and ask them questions about the development of the original story and the issues employees were concerned about when bringing such an interesting story to the animation media.

Gabimaru is an interesting protagonist, his desire to be reunited with his wife. Today, married protagonists aren’t a lot of things we see in Shonen Battle comics. What made you hope this is a decisive aspect of his character?

Yūjikaku: Hell’s paradise It is considered a survival story, and the protagonist does need strong motivation to survive. He needs to solve him as soon as possible. So I made his wife the driving force for Gabimaru. I admit it was something I didn’t think much about at first. Initially, this was really just a small part of his character. But afterwards, I realized that I created something unusual here with the married Shonen Manga protagonist.

settings Hell’s paradise Draw inspiration from many different religious and philosophical backgrounds. How do you dig into these aspects? Is it difficult to merge so many to create this unique environment?

Card Library: When conceived Hell’s paradiseit is important to include all the elements I’m passionate about, so it’s like everything I’m interested in. This is not something I specifically look at any of these themes, genres or aspects of creating the world. But they are all part of things that I’m already interested in, and I’m already passionate about that. My interests are integrated into this furnace to create the world you see.

Well, this passion will definitely be shown! What was your initial reaction when you first heard that the series will be adapted into an anime?

Card Library: This is actually the first time I have animated it. Initially, I couldn’t even imagine what it would be like to see my work, my artwork, my drawings like this. This is a huge and surprising surprise.

Do you want to make sure there is anything specific about the anime you are depicting?

Card Library: One of my personal philosophy is that animation teams should be empowered, and that true energy does have mass as animation teams do have self-motivation and self-driven energy. So what I really want to see is not micromanaging and mentoring them, but the animation team feels capable of making the best decisions and producing the best quality.

What is your favorite anime scene so far?

Card Library: I’m actually a big fan of the violence, horror and bloody genre. So whenever Gabimaru is soaked in blood is my favorite scene. In particular, the last fight in episode two is a favorite.

Without much, are you looking forward to adapting to the people who are approaching Season 2?

Card Library: In Season 2, we finally see all the main characters Hell’s paradise Introduction and development, so this is what I really look forward to.

character Hell’s paradisemany people have different unique capabilities and power sets. What does it feel like to all of this?

Card Library: Despite the many characters, each character has a unique aspect. They are all very relevant. Although there are a lot of characters to track, I find it not confusing. They each built themselves well, and it was a very natural process to develop each character.

Hell’s paradise Starting with a rather large actor, as unfortunately, more and more people are meeting the end in the hands of the island’s horror. Are there always who will live, who will die, or are you already discovering something you are already slowly telling this story?

Card Library: So it’s almost like a multiverse. Each character has a path to survival and a path to death. Depending on how the story goes and how it goes, these key points of decision making are at the moment they have to be.

You conceive where each character will live and the route each character will die in the story?

Card Library: Yes, every character has a path to life and a route to death, even Gabimaru.

Wow. Is there any special character death that makes you particularly difficult? Especially because you have made it clear that each character represents a part of it.

Card Library: It might be a bit cliché, but since each character has a little bit of me, it’s really sad that any of them fits in their end. And you may not believe this, but every character that has to go, I really regret their death.

Why choose them as the main duo in the series when it comes to our central duo, Gabimaru and Sagiri? What makes them stand out compared to the other cast?

Card Library: Even though they were placed in the Edo era, Sagiri and Gabimaru were most relevant to our mindset in the modern world, especially around their philosophy of love. So of all the characters involved, I feel that these two characters are most relevant to the people we live in the modern world.

Tensen are these terrifying and powerful creatures that can transform between genders. How did you see them as villains of this story?

Card Library: One of thematic aspects Hell’s paradise There is an opposing conflict. Good and evil, weak and strong, are integrated into the opposite elements of the entire storyline. This is something I really focus on the development of the whole story. The main roles are criminals and executors. Therefore, the opposite situation is the driving factor for the opponent who conceives the storyline.

Well, they are absolutely frightening, so I think you’re done!

Card Library: You’re welcome!

Moving to Kirito Iwashita brings anything particularly challenging YūjikakuAnimated comics?

Kirito Iwashita: not necessarily. There are weak elements and powerful elements, there are strategies, characters think logically while fighting, and the media of animation can actually convey all of this in just twenty minutes. Therefore, there are serious restrictions on how much content we can display at a time. How do we balance explanations and actions? Anime viewers won’t tend to rewind and re-watch. So, in the twenty-minute limit, everything has to make sense. This is a challenge we have been working hard to do our best.

An amazing selling point Hell’s paradise It’s those battle scenes. What steps were taken to bring these action sequences to life? Do animation workers have to keep any specific rules or philosophy in mind when converting these action scenes into animation?

Iwashita: When it comes to horror and gore, this is a TV series that airs on regular channels, so there are a lot of regulatory restrictions. We can’t be too bloody. We can’t make it too extreme. So, in the constraints we give, we have been working to maximize the original spirit in the original series and the aspects so horrible in the original series. How do we maximize this spirit and get the same feeling given our limitations?

From what I’ve seen, I think you’ve definitely done it. Thank you very much for your precious time.
