South Korean educational broadcast studio EBS and South Korean MCN company Sandbox Network will jointly launch a new family animation series ” Somacfen: Click! world adventure. The drama will premiere on EBS 1TV on November 9 at 11:55 am (KST).
The 13-episode (26-segment) series marks EBS’s shift from preschool-oriented content to programming aimed at elementary-age children and families. The show maintains the broadcaster’s educational focus, balancing learning and entertainment to create a family-friendly series suitable for all ages.
The story follows Somak and his family who win a world travel award and embark on an adventure across Spain, Australia, Brazil and Egypt. Each episode features new challenges involving mysterious game creatures called Randions, as well as vivid descriptions of global landmarks such as Spain’s Tomato Festival and London’s Big Ben.
The project combines EBS’s education expertise with the Sandbox Network’s creator-based IP and digital storytelling capabilities. The animated series is based on a popular IP Youtube creator With over 10 million subscribers, Somacguffin bridges the gap between online fans and traditional TV viewers.
