The trailer for the otome game is based on The Wizard of Oz
Aksys Games announced on Wednesday that it will release creative factory and Kogado Studio’s Above the Requiema model based on The Wizard of Ozfor Nintendo Switch in the West in summer 2026. The company played a trailer featuring Kuno’s theme song “Mated Expectations”:

In this dark reimagining of the classic story, high school student Yuhiru is caught up in a mysterious tornado and finds himself lost in the land of Oz. There, she was unjustly sentenced to death and ordered to travel with four death row inmates and their supervisors. What is their goal? Mysterious ruins that look just like homes, only dilapidated and infested with monsters. At the mercy of her companions, Yuhi will face many difficult decisions along the way. But she must remember one thing: no one is lost forever, no matter how far away they are.
The game launches in Japan on April 17th.
