Kakao Creative Foundation to Host Camp for Webtoon, Web Novel Creators – News


The 5-day camp provides guidance from 6 established online novel creators

cocoa Creative Foundation announced on June 30 that it will host its first “Growth Creative Camp” for aspiring Webtoon and web novel creators from November 3 to 7 in Yangpyeong, South Korea.

The five-day camp is designed as a practical program that will provide participants with intensive feedback and guidance from six well-known creators in the industry. The mentors include Do-gyeong Lee (The legendary moonlight sculptor), Bonden (The great sage of the Nangu family) and Hwaram (Big Mud Legend) is used for webtoons and dalsle(Flirting with villain’s father), Writer No. 8 (My father is the strongest in the world) and Jaya (ebony) is used in online novels. This camp followed cocoaThe regular lecture program, “Growth Talk and Talk,” marks a shift to a more practical, production-focused training course. It aims to support creators from the writing stage to debut, creating a complete pipeline of growth for new talent.

Throughout the camp, the instructor will stay on site with participants and provide real-time feedback on the project and share market insights. At the end of the program, four teams will be selected – Grand Prize, First Prize, Excellence and Encouragement Prize – Winners receive creative grants and one-on-one mentoring sessions Page Cocoa Producer. The Grand Prize Team will also receive additional personal feedback from participating mentors.

Applications last until July 27. Prospective participants must submit application forms, personal statements, draft projects, logs and summary. Webtoon applicants must include a complete summary and a storyboard (CONTI) of at least three episodes, while Web novel applicants must submit summary and five episodes or more plots. Participation in the camp is free.
