I’m the Evil Lord of an Intergalactic Empire! Anime Series Review – Review

I am the evil king of an evil empire! It is a kind of animation with a discordant tone. On the one hand, it’s a relaxing story of a man reincarnated in the sci-fi world who is determined to become the evil galactic overlord. But the trick is that he was ridiculously terrible-so bad that his “tyranny” improved the lives of everyone he ruled.

The problem Liam is that he is a good person and he doesn’t know what it means to be an evil person. His idea of “evil” is the stereotype seen in the novel, or the more mundane type of evil he experienced as a Japanese office worker on Earth. Furthermore, the evil plans he suggested were tame compared to the common aristocrats living in the highly corrupt Galactic Empire.

What his most evil man wanted was to make the woman who hated him be forced to bow before him – reluctantly surrender to him in all kinds of ways, because the power he waved was so good. Unfortunately for him and his ego, every woman he meets is willing to do whatever he wants. After all, he is wealthy, smart and powerful. In addition, he has a subconscious habit that can help every girl in distress he meets – dedicating everyone to him.

The core issue of Liam’s character is that he can’t trust anyone. Therefore, he rejected all the progress of the women around him – whatever he might find their attraction. His only real companion is Amagi, who is a custom Android maid who can’t actually betray him. Beyond that, she is a literal sex robot who is more interested in her “rich assets” than any woman with meat and blood, and you might expect that humor follows.

Of course, the reason why he couldn’t trust people was the other side of the tone equation. The most part of the first episode is Liam’s life on Earth. Everything he might go wrong has. His wife cheated with the boss. His daughter is not his (looks more for her real dad). His boss made him embezzlement-making him blacklisted and fired. He is working hard to repay his false debts until he causes himself to die. It feels like we were beaten by his character motivation, and it’s not the only extended scene like this.

Christiana is a princess who was betrayed by the Imperial Navy and captured by pirates, watching her family and planets be wiped out from orbit, forced to witness when her companions are tortured – she is a seemingly hateful person in a situation where she looks annoying, and then she joins them herself. Then she spent decades belittled, humiliated and tortured by the kidnappers until she dreamed of a sweet escape from death.

These scenes are so incredible with the rest of the series that it’s shocking. This makes anime an empowering fantasy for comedians, occasionally jumping into Grimdark. The crazy thing is that it almost works. Despair and pain are so much that it almost turned back and became a dark comedy, but it didn’t do that. Instead, if it feels like these scenes belong to another anime, even if they do the job when defining the character’s motivation.

As for how I am the evil king of an evil empire! It seems that calling it a mix would be an understatement. Although humanoid traits usually look good, this is Mecha This is a big problem. Their animation ranges from highly detailed CG model production complex, realistic action to 2D animation slopes, and looks like the worst shots between any other frames Mecha series. The proportions are wrong, the details are unclear – it looks cheap. As for the music, it was so completely forgotten that I don’t remember a bar. But to be fair, this does mean that I don’t easily notice this either.

When it all boils down to, there are a lot of dubious choices in this anime. From comedy and Grink’s tone clash to often bad Mecha Animation, there are a lot of actions here. However, I still find that the show can be watched eventually. Liam’s failed attempts become evil (not to mention the spoiled short films of people’s daily lives) bring some solid comedy and more dramatic parts of the story because of how specific his character’s motivations and backstory are. If people are interested in the premise, this is one of the anime I encourage people to shoot, because watching the first two episodes will give you all the information about this show and whether or not you like it.
