After September 2 announcement Japanese pop rock duo GarnideliaIndefinite interruption, Garnidelia Singer Mai “Maria” Mizuhashi reported that she had not been paid for several years.
Maria’s full statement is as follows:
I apologize for being surprised and worried about your sudden announcement.
I don’t want to confuse fans and those involved in this situation, so I want to explain what is happening and what is happening.
First, I realized through a third party that my agents have not officially paid me for the activities in the past few years. I believe in some cases there is no payment at all.
I thought it was weird, of course I wanted to trust my agent, but the atmosphere was not good for expressing my opinion, and I was scared, so I couldn’t even check it out.
Over the past few years, I’ve lost consciousness and tears will flow uncontrollably when I return to the hotel.
I think I’m in an environment that makes me lose my mind.

During this period, the President [of my agency] I will criticize me, say things like “Your attitude is strange” and “What do you want to do?” At that time, I was reaching my physical and mental limitations, so last year I asked for a timeline adjustment and even asked to quit at the end of the year.
By continuing under this system, I was pushed to the edge mentally and physically. To meet the limit, I personally sent a termination notice to the agency through a lawyer this August.

Maria’s statement follows Garnidelia Composer Yoshinori “Toku” Shinzo Abe announced that the two will be interrupted indefinitely.
