Episode 9 – Kowloon Generic Romance

Who knows French toast could be a kind of person who disrupts a relationship? Kudo’s mean treatment of Kujirai A in this episode stems from his continued progress from Kujirai B, and there is little even reminding him that the new version of the woman he loved cannot be measured in his memory. Last time, the two of them finally hung up for Kujirai A’s ecstatic joy, and now we see the shortest flashback of Kudo’s intimate POV, his lover’s bright smile and face beneath him while he’s having sex. No matter how good their reaction is, they are different. Kujirai A can’t stop blushing and giggling like a schoolgirl and promises to sprinkle all the details on Gal-Pal Yaomay. By contrast, Kudo was drinking alone in a dirty back alley. Spectrum kujirai b wraps her arms around her upper body, symbolizing the emotional movement that has led him to root in the past. Even though he envisioned the most vulnerable Kujirai A, who gave him completely, he could not do the same. His head was filled with Kujirai B.

From Kudo’s flashbacks, we learn the original Kujirai from our mother, the recipe for French toast from our mother, who died with her father. Perhaps this helps partly explain the desperate and the ongoing atmosphere of Ennui that seems to follow Kujirai B like a cloud. She suffered losses throughout her life, and now she will lose her beloved second Kowloon family. Her answer to Kudo was “I’m weak, that’s why I’m not sad”, posing various dangers to her self-perception and emotional numbness. Frustratingly, her harshness about what memories meant to her was interrupted by a whistling kettle. It seems that this kind of thing has happened a lot in Kowloon.

Somehow the French toast plot is a precious memory for kudo, so when he visited Kujirai A, not long after, soon after, he promised never to leave her and then to sleep with her, he seemed to “test” her by asking her to make French toast. When it is obvious that she has not retained this knowledge collected from her ex, Kudo actually ghosted her without warning, and this poor dear reais. I don’t blame her – Kudo is the master of mixed signals, no wonder Kujirai didn’t know she was going with him. Whether or not he was bereavement, he was disrespectful to her treatment, and could even be manipulative. He didn’t even know what he wanted, and until he sorted it out, he would leave Kujila alone, even if he hurt her in a short period of time. I mean, not even her goldfish liked him.

On the subject of interrupted thought, Yaomay’s reaction to drinking Kowloon iced coffee is disturbing. For one moment, she has a relationship with Gwen and Kujirai about her adventure in Hong Kong, and then she gets up with a sw, just as her mind is suddenly shrouded in any idea that might be problematic about the existence of Kowloon 3.0. Suddenly, what she was no longer frustrated was that Kowloon 3.0 was trapped in an eternal recursive midsummer, and outsider Yulon commented, “I know she would be swallowed.” What is this place that rewrites memory, can change the appearance and can produce Dopekgner? Gwen keeps eating or drinking this disturbing gangster produce, which is totally true. It’s like a pitcher plant that attracts sweet and sweet insects, just captures and slowly submerges them. In the case of Kowloon 3.0, what is attracting people like Yaomay, Miyuki, Gwen and Kudo, and why are they the only ones?

I’m sorry for Gwen because Miyuki treats him so coldly here. Even though Gwen tried to make up for the electronic payment failure of Miyagi in local businesses, Miyuki escaped, even forcibly hindering Gwen’s attempt to follow his attempt. “We broke up,” he sneered, “I’m not as good as I look,” he mentioned his growth in the labyrinth passage of the Second Kowloon, and he was adopted by Hebinuma Senior. It has been suggested that one of the reasons why Hibinama Company demolished the Second Kowloon was to destroy the birth record of the Gongji Foundation. That’s why I think Miyuki tracks Dr. Wong’s Kowloon Clinic, but as being the subject here, he’s interrupted before entering the front door. Is this important? Yulong seems to be worried about his snake-shaped friend Kowloon’s obsession and longs for desperate steps to bring him into the senses.

Unfortunately, Kujirai A seems to be useful for Yulong’s plan and for Hebinuma’s advanced plan. Yulong found a bug under his desk, who correctly belonged to the adult male Xiaomi (Male Xiaohei), who currently acted as a spy on Kowloon 3.0 on behalf of Miyuki’s father. Hebinuma Senior is keen to test the limits of General Kowloon and the general staff it seems to create, hoping that Little Hei will lure a general staff outside the city’s borders to see if they’re gone. It doesn’t have to be Kujirai A, but if there is no other option, he will accept her loss. By contrast, Yulong just wanted Kujirai to die, and we haven’t fully understood the reason. All Kujirai A wants to do is find her place in life, preferably with the man she loves! She didn’t know that these dark forces circled her.

Xiaomi (male) seems to be a good person. Yaomay likes him so much and so far she has proven to be a pretty good role judge. Although the show is not clear yet, there is a lot of evidence that Xiaohei (female) and Xiaohei (male) are the same person. They both have a love for pleated dresses, and Xiaobei (Men) regrets that due to his now adult body shape, he no longer looks good in the Lolita style he used to like. Their hair, eyes and mouth are also very similar, and in fact, the fact that he is familiar with Kujirai B seems to be associated with this connection.

It seems to me that when he lived in 29th Dragon three years ago, Xiaomi (male) did indeed look like Xiaomi (female). In the three years since the demolition, puberty has hit and his body has become more masculine. I don’t think this is a trans narrative in itself, because he agrees very much with men but happens to like wearing wrinkled clothes. The reason why Xiaomi (female) did not disappear has raised various questions about how Bison 3.0 can identify whether generic drugs can be replaced by originals when they cross the threshold of the city. Are millet (male) so different from small small walk (female) that they are considered independent entities? Or is it a way to generate generic drugs in some way based on other people’s perceptions? Can this rebuilt Xiaomi (female) be a girl instead of a boy wearing clothes?

While we already have a lot of answers about the true nature of Kowloon 3.0, there are still many mysteries about how this very special setup works. I’m still attracted to this adaptation because it probably went into its final game. With this episode, we reach the end of the comic volume 8. Just use a volume translated in English and we will soon be in the unknown realm of English readers. With Kujirai A’s out of reach for Kujirai B’s memory through her glasses lens, I hope they can bring us more answers soon!
