Episode 8 – Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra

While I still don’t allow myself to rush too much and call it a great episode, it’s undoubtedly still the strongest episode mynogh We already have it. Since the beginning, I have been saying that I think many of the potential powers of this series can be found in the politics of building a new civilization, and this episode proves me right, although it’s not entirely for the reasons I expected.
In this episode, there is an element with the girls, accompanied by medical staff, going to Dragontan to explore the place. And there must be a feeling mynogh To strengthen oneself, it may be a relatively easy conquest for them – not only to make them themselves, but more importantly, with mines and much-needed mana. Therefore, this is both strategic and practical from their perspective. I have no doubt that at the end of the series (if not in the next episode), we will see mynogh Whether it is through force or cutting, start taking some actions to absorb the dragon pill.
Speedran Dragontan learned mynoghIt’s a shame because we haven’t seen this aspect yet – the rest of the world, even those who haven’t been there, but even when we’re approaching them is no longer exactly a hidden civilization in the forest. Watching the unfold might be really cool. But instead, we see the mayor melting on the visit of the Dragontan by the dark elves, and then, as far as she knows, they are glorious tourists, which I guess is still a thing.
But, of course, the main attraction of this episode is clearly the medical staff, Ichiro, Jiro and Saburo. Apart from being very interesting, they finally gave it to me in this episode, and I think this series is desperately needed, and that’s blood! Bold! Forced to remove human flesh from the bones! For a series that worked so hard to get dark and brutal, the department did lack a serious lack so far, and we also had the opportunity to have a lot of blood. So, while overdue, hey, being late is better than not.
I just wish the visuals in this anime were better because if the series wasn’t that much…it could sell the slaughter better if it makes sense. Visuals have never been a strong point in this series, but every week, I wonder if they get so bad every week. It hasn’t reached publicly bad levels, but it’s not a twist if you do. The massive amount of extreme close-ups on people’s faces can’t hide it forever – because we’ve reached a point where even if it looks a little doubtful (as shown in the thumbnail I used this week).
At this point, the series has a lot more complete features, and we’ve just turned around recently, with some motivation behind it. On the one hand, I would love to see it continue to build on that, and even with many weeks left, I would love to see it get better and better every week. On the other hand, I can’t help but worry if that ongoing ending will do anything to trip things up, or if it can conclude satisfactorily – even if it doesn’t necessarily bind each loose end (and inevitably won’t).
