Episode 6 – To Your Eternity Season 3

It’s never a good sign when the recap’s narrator announces that a character will try to solve a problem “once and for all,” and we’re only on the sixth episode of dozens of episodes. Sorry, Fuji, but when Tonali wonders wistfully if everyone will actually be able to live peacefully in this new world, it’s a literary device we in the industry call “foreshadowing.” You won’t be able to escape the impending chaos so easily by making a cup of tea.

This is especially true when our hero, a lovable little idiot of an immortal god, decides that his best plan to prove world peace to Tonari is to convince her that, despite having a brotherly relationship with the Nok family for generations, Mizuha and her ilk are 100 percent cool. Oh, and there was the murder Mizuha committed a few days ago. and In fact, her mother is both a ghost and a creepy living doppelgänger. Yes, that is certainly the definition of “peace” you are looking for, good friends.

To be honest, I actually enjoyed the completely insane contrast between Fuji’s gleeful Mystery Club adventure and the reality of the Orb Gang. Fuji earnestly presents Tonari with Ruiye’s handmade headband, which is just as appropriate for an after-school special starring ordinary human children who aren’t all inextricably linked to the millennia-long journey to the immortal sphere. Tonali is just being honest though, and she makes a very valid point that it’s weird that she acts like this is more than just one person. small Crazy to be good friends with Mizuha after everything Hayase and her descendants did. After all, this is a world where reincarnated souls and inherited memories are very real and tangible. Tonari wasn’t just mad at Raye because her horoscope app gave her a bad reading after breakfast that morning. A thousand years ago, she witnessed all of her friends being killed by Nox. You can’t blame her for being slow to believe the latest incarnation of the Nok family’s world’s most problematic friend, can you?

When Bon reminds Fushi that there is at least one other clone out there, Fushi realizes how impossible it is to ignore the Nokkers, except that this clone has taken over the identity of a little girl named Mimuri. Poor Fu’s first reaction is to lure the child to a construction site and stab her with a sword, another ridiculous comparison that actually works well. For an ordinary person, seeing these two cruel sword killings is simply nonsense. and Cute high school arts and crafts were a reasonable and permanent solution to the impossible Knock problem, but Fauci was a sphere and he didn’t even fully possess the ability to perceive thought and speech for a long time. He is a god with the mind of a well-meaning but overburdened child, and all he wants is to create a paradise for those he loves.

One benefit of the Nokkers’ return is that we have a proper, tangible threat for Fushi and Co. to deal with, and I like how the Mimuri dilemma opens up the whole can of worms again. The scene where the little girl picks up Fushi’s sword and stabs herself against Mimuri’s family on Fushi is a great horror sequence that reminds us that Nokkers are indeed monsters and not to be underestimated. This reminds me a little Higurashi: When they crythis is a good company.

All of this, and we haven’t even gotten to see Black One return in the form of a cunning little guy with all of Fosse’s powers and penchant for soda. It’s a great twist that gives Heiichi a more direct role in the plot and creates a clear character arc. Aside from all the nook explanations we got – it turns out they’re now bacteria – what I’m most interested in is how “Little Black One” became a completely normal human in just a few years. What a departure this God of the universe is. At the very least, giving up immortal power and memory gives TTBO a chance to experience life from a truly human perspective, which is something Fushi is still grappling with, especially the whole issue of “love.”

Now, obviously, it’s silly to say that romantic love and/or physical attraction are an absolutely fundamental part of everyone’s experience, but love and attraction yes A very basic thread to the entire tapestry of our culture and history. Whatever form these feelings take, they become vital and useful building blocks for those who experience them. Fauci hasn’t yet figured out what they mean to him — if they mean anything at all. As it turns out, Mizuha is more than happy to teach Fuji everything she knows about love, and I’m sure this plan will go right.
