Episode 6 – The Summer Hikaru Died

Let me start with the end of the episode and ask a question: Will Yoshiki be jealous of Hikaru thinking of eating someone other than him? I’m not saying that the text explicitly supports this explanation, but rather tolerate me for a while. Sex and food are both original motivational factors, and we have seen how Hikaru and Yoshiki blend the two feelings. Yoshiki’s inner desires also often fight each other, so this is not necessarily a rational response. He hesitated for a moment when the plot began, and then tried to dissuade his friends from spending the night. Is he trying to protect them, or is he trying to keep hikaru? The frame of the camera reminds us of the bruises on his arm, but it is both a wound and an improper badge of honor. I think his intuition may be possessive. After all, the bonds he shares with Hikaru are as unique and irreplaceable.
We continue to see Hikaru working or lacking in similar blob logic. He is a big and very dangerous puppy. He was shocked when Asako stuffed him out. Being caught off guard, his intuition takes over, he almost kills her, and Yoshiki interrupts him. Hikaru’s language and body language are fascinating because he lets Asako go. He immediately took a step back and continued to defend, seemingly thinking better about it. When Yoshiki pushes this further, Hikaru resorts to speech that life and death are not that different from supernatural creatures like him. It’s a fair angle, especially in the context of Asako’s flashback, but he sounds like a kid, being grabbed in a cookie jar with his hands, arguing with his parents about his daily calorie needs. However, he may be “right”, which is not much about the actual problem.
This action reminds Gickey that he is dealing with the Swampers. The thought experiment quoted at the beginning of the plot is from Donald Davidsonand I don’t think I need to elaborate on it’s related to the situation with Hikaru. In short, it believes that the creature must have Arrived Hikaru to yes Hikaru, it’s obvious that he is different. We know. I think the interesting puzzle of Anime House is the impact of the swampers on the people around me. If people realize they are dealing with the Swamper, will that change the way they interact with him? Yoshiki both pretended to be normal and took advantage of Hikaru’s new anatomy and obsessed with his strengths. Even Asako hesitated to realize that Hikaru has been replaced, but instead concluded that he must be possessed. This is a subtle difference, but this difference is a more disturbing and complex reality. Perhaps, as animals with over-brained brains, our desire for being loved and our fear of swinging ships holds our foundation in combat or flight.
Ironically, Asako may be more accepting of Hikaru’s identity than anyone else in the group of friends. There is a minute but meaningful difference between what her grandmother taught her and Rie previously told Yoshiki. Rie speaks to absolute sensitivity, warning Yoshiki that mixing with Hikaru is impossible. However, Asako’s grandmother admitted that spirit can be good things and people can be bad people. Hikaru also perceives the continuity between life and the world of the dead. Neither of them is a giant, Asako witnesses a terrifying bony spot in his eyes, trying to stop her friend from being hit by an out-of-control car. In other words, her grandmother advises caution rather than prejudice.
Having said that, Yoshiki still has good reason to be cautious around Hikaru. He has no direct answers about the murder of an old woman, nor does he have Know What is his friend’s doppelganger? Worse, he realizes that he may never understand the monster’s way of thinking at all, which is strange to how he sees the world as an ordinary teenage boy. But is he satisfied with an ordinary teenage boy? Playing with fireworks is an appropriate visual metaphor for Yoshiki’s relationship with Hikaru, which continues to layer large themes into quotidian objects.
Another example of how we stand out is that we do weekly choir practice. Chiaki Kobayashi mentioned this in this interviewYou have to believe me when I say I always want to mention it. Although there is nothing obvious disadvantage in these scenarios, they are still disturbing. I think, for me, they emphasized the performance and ritual aspects of high school, so they did the same for the Quotidian Life ansse of the students. Both the kids and adults are doing the movements and singing on the page. The teacher doesn’t care. The students don’t care. But they continued to practice. The absurdity that exists in Yoshiki’s life is not isolated from Hikaru. Normal is a crazy brand, and now Yoshiki is trapped in the insane flavor of his desire to join him.
