We’ve finally reached the end of this dungeon arc. As usual for campfire cookinga trip that favors comfort over adventure. There are no surprises here, gangs fight and eat their way to glory. If you’re feeling cynical, you’ll think this is formulaic and repetitive. To some extent, it is. I? I’m a life junkie, so I certainly agree with that. This is a formula that isn’t broken, so why change it?
The last episode ends with campfire cooking A group of people suddenly appeared in a forest in the dungeon and rushed out of the gate. A. Big. SNAKEYBO I. Muhkoda naturally doesn’t dare fight such a massive beast, leaving Fel, Sui, and Dora-chan to do all the heavy lifting. Exploring more of the dungeon, I still found myself really liking the way it was designed. The coal mine area in the dungeon, with its dark red color and wooden shafts, reminded me a bit of The Legend of Zelda: Minicap Cave of Fire. The desert area that serves as the final area of the dungeon is akin to a John Ford Western in its vastness, which would be pretentious to say I knew. Still, when you have Muhkoda riding Fel through the dungeon’s sand and canyons, it’s hard not to jump to this conclusion, like john wayne Ride through the sandy beaches and canyons of the American Southwest.
This won’t be a plot campfire cooking No…um…cooking. To my surprise, this episode had four food segments, which is probably a record number. The food looked as good as usual, especially those pork chop sandwiches – no, really, someone needs to make ten of them. I admit, as much as I enjoyed this episode, this is where we start to run into some flaws. The food sequences here fill in the gaps of the episode. I wish the dungeon crawling had more fun, as it feels a bit skipped here.
The monsters in gang fights here are easily defeated, with most falling to their knees in just a few seconds. A brief montage fast-forwards through still images of giant crabs and a giant earthworm that looks like it crawled straight out of the earth. dune. That basilisk fight I mentioned at the beginning was defeated before the OP even played the opening notes. Not that I was expecting anything dramatic and action-packed here, but there could have been a lot more going on in these battles, especially since it took four episodes to get deep enough into the dungeon. But oh well. The episode’s climax makes up for it, pitting the gang against the dungeon’s final boss: a bullish behemoth. Spoiler: The gang wins. At least this time around, the battle gets a fair amount of attention, with some of the drawn-out moments that have this behemoth fighting metal, at least through campfire cookingstandards.
Flaws aside, campfire cooking Still maintains its status as one of the most enjoyable and comfortable shows to air this season. Now that the gang has left the dungeon, I’m looking forward to what the rest of the Hungry Dogs Otherworld show has in store for us.
