If nothing else, Episode 4 Bad girl Although it focuses on the kindergarten position and role, it starts unexpectedly strong. In my comments on the first three episodes, I haven’t written about Yuu’s first adventure with this place because it didn’t really impress me. On the surface, seeing the entire near-pod classroom expresses their love for Atori, but they express their love for Atori with an eloquence that they can’t express in real life, but it feels like the premise of the first time is the whole joke, and there are more interesting parts to collapse in the playback of this episode.
However, in episode 4, this bit has begun to develop into a huge effect. Yuu explicitly invited Atori’s biggest fan Maria’s kindergarten. Once she arrived, Passive Yuu was forced to serve as Maria’s president because I think it’s just a student union-style club meeting, attending all the other Atori fans of the early childhood development facility. But these young kids are fun, and in a large-scale company, they are coming for executive boards and even developing a multi-level marketing plan to make others love Atori as much as they do. This disruption and upgrade is more than just my laughter when kids list scam products for awesome news about Atori.
While I think the kids continue to question Yuu’s love for Atori is a bit forced and not suitable on the show because she is often blamed by other characters for loving Atori too much, the ultimate GAG grabbed the landing point for me in this opening. Yuu’s phone ringtone and the role of “verbal abuse ASMR”, which is a clip from Atori, said “I hate you” earlier in this series to heal her ic, which inspired the kids to call Atori to reveal the exact nature of their relationship. As Yuu suspected, Atori confirmed that she believed Yuu was her pet and the children were forced to admit it.
Although Yuu was initially shocked by this dynamic between her and Atori, a inspiring speech by Suzu later made her feel better about their current relationship. My only complaint about this opening is that there are some unnecessary shots in the transition to late-day transition, but overall, this segment is helping me warm up the kindergarten part of the show.
The focus of the second act is Yuu’s discovery of Atori’s horrible drawings. Instead of accepting that her idol is not perfect in any dimension, Yuu distorts her evaluation of the blunt image she sees, as she appears to be an abstract painting of creatures in mythology, and Atori admits that they were the dogs of paintings and family members who walked to school that morning. Essentially, this is not bad, but it feels like a joke sticking out in five and a half minutes. I believe this is not the last time Bad girl Yuu will make a joke to keep her worldview idealized for Atori.
The third act lets Yuu and Suzu go to the movie to watch Yakuza movies, so Yuu has more inspiration next time she has to do something bad. There, they meet Rura who is watching the same movie, and I like her presence more in this episode than in the previous episode. Yuu and Suzu’s setting starts, completely making Lula’s pee incredible, as they are very cold to their last interaction and her presence there. Rula was like a couple to Yuu and Suzu even before the film started, and I liked that the show started to admit the romantic colors of their relationship more publicly.
As the film progresses, Rura is increasingly attracted by Yuu’s Smol Bean Antis and his huge reaction to the film’s maturity, including calling back to Yuu’s Space Odyssey– Heuristic reaction to sexual materials. After the movie, they sit down and drink, and the three become rapport with friends, although Rula must beg them to give her a Ruu-Senpai nickname. While I don’t think this will end up with the part that Rura’s character creates, this new dynamic should help and lead to novel situations for some of the main actors.
Post-credit gags were bullied by Rura again with her stream chat, and although it was a double hit, I liked the joke the second time.
In addition to Suzu’s creep shots, the animation of this episode is once again usable, and the sound performance is enough. While I hope this episode is built immediately on the growing dynamic between Yuu and Atori in the last episode, bringing Rura cleaner into this good development, a solid development that hopes to give way to more character growth and entertainment interactions. While the middle stretch was a miss for me, the start and end saved it and restored the episode to average.
