Episode 23 – Dr. STONE SCIENCE FUTURE

My old friend Onion Ninja attacked me several times while I watched this episode. I really should make sure my doors and windows are locked correctly before sitting down to watch the anime. Starting with the high drama and violence of the past few weeks, we have set it to be a slower, more mean pace. After seemingly having been in trouble for several years, the tiny melon seeds, optical challenges for the child, Suika is the only survivor of humanity. It is no exaggeration to say that the future of the entire world depends on her short shoulders. Suika certainly has fully realized this.
Despite being the youngest member of the Kingdom of Science, Suika can have his own in terms of determination and intelligence. She secured herself several food sources (such as vegetables, fruits and freshly caught fish), and she embarked on a methodical logical mission to revive all her friends again. Although her discovery of the lack of revival liquid surviving Stanley’s attack put her in trouble, her flexible, aggressive nature means nothing can keep her for a long time.
She wisely found all her friends’ petrified bodies and dragged them back to the base. This allows her to pretend to have a conversation with them (maybe stay sane) and even hug her beloved Kohaku. It was tragic to watch the lonely little girl try to get some comfort from the lazy stone statue, and she struggled with the horror of true loneliness in her life for the first time.
Most adults may crack under this pressure, but Suika will never give up in the years she has successfully achieved her goals. Despite repeated failures, she learned the right lessons from Senku. The great thing about the scientific method is that, given the right procedures, anyone can reliably reproduce its results. This is the most difficult part of the right procedure, as Suika faces the need to harvest a lot of animals and bird droppings, clamshells, besides the unpredictable Amazon climate that ruined her efforts to produce nitric acid, reviving the fluid’s trickiest susceptibility ingredients.
Suika has a strong emotion on the iconic “E =Mc²” signed by Senku on her clothes, cementing her determination to succeed, no matter how difficult her path is. She proved human creativity and willpower, and when she woke up after seven years of petrification, her final success seemed to outperform her due. His friendly smile as he congratulated her on the work she did, and the way she had her first real human contact since her own awakening can be one of the most exciting moments in the show so far.
Although in some ways, this is a very unusual plot Dr. StoneAs Suika’s almost exclusive single handed, it represents the show’s profound optimism and love for the science and the natural world. It celebrates resilience and hard work, realizing that success is not always easy to achieve. Suika sacrificed several years of life to rejuvenate her friends, and she is now getting along well with their age. I wonder how their relationship with her will be different now because without them she has essentially reached a young adult?
