We are in a new environment with a new environment – Kyoto of the Meiji era – and a few new characters to complement the show’s cast. But despite some diverging touches, the episode proved to be quite moderate. Jinya is now the owner of his own restaurant, and he unabashedly named “Demon Soba”. It was both a reasonable career move – he was often swallowed and nodded to his dual nature, a demon who had always mastered his humanity in the restaurant. He is now both everyone and a family member. Fifty, he is also middle-aged.
He is not the only character in this plot, and his age does not match his appearance. When I saw the calm girl Himewari (one of a new character) surrounded by demons, I was worried that she was Nomari and her father used her as Monster bait. Instead, Himewari becomes a fairly effective villain in the story, cleverly exploiting Jinya’s protective instincts, who will do his best when he takes over her and her demon sister.
So far, we only have the content of this story. I’ve been learning about NOH Theater so when Himewori’s Demon Sister is related to NOH Theater, I’m interested (a real drama here). This demon has occupied Jinya’s new client, the elegant sultry woman Kamenome’s appearance. But when the plot turns into a battle on the bridge at night (I’m generous), there’s no time to explore this further. In episode 17, I prefer Jinya’s duel with Kiichi, and in Butler this season, it’s better to use the projectile chain to grab the projectile chain’s laughter. City animation.
The elements of this week’s plot has been blatantly unfinished after last week’s “incomplete” release are embarrassing – in the Battle of the Bridge, when one round ends, there’s at most one round of competing audio, fighting back against the extended footage of the (empty!) bridge. There are other striking silly, such as when Ginnia was hit by a metal ball, and even Normari’s cut-off shot, hit the shot. Given all these glitches, we can guess why the upcoming plot has been put on hold for a week.
I won’t be too difficult for it. I love the Rich Woody Browns of Kyoto, and the glimpse of Akitsu in teaching roles, imparting Kenobi’s wisdom to the boy apprentice (Heikuchi), who obviously matters in future plots. It’s no surprise that the Demon Sisters’ mother is indeed Suzune, and their next goal will be Nomari, whose next goal is the devil’s eyeball that Suzune has in the first episode.
However, any expectation can be curbed, and there are only two episodes to go on. It seems unlikely to conclude satisfactorily that if you want the ending, the final episode ends up with an annoying ad to read the lightweight novel. Hope it’s better than this.
