Episode 20 – Anne Shirley

I’ve been terrified of Ruby’s death and Gilbert’s proposals since it’s obvious that the series will be adapted to this series Annie on the island As one of my least favorite moments in my novel. Although Ruby’s death was so painful, Gilbert’s situation was unclear. This is not to say that I don’t feel bad about him, because he is obviously hurting him and spends a lot of time as long as he can bear it. But my tears were for Anne and everyone’s reaction to her pain. Everyone seemed to think she was sad because she rejected the offer of someone who loved her, and they all believed that her destined to be her other half, but I don’t think it’s deep inside her. In my opinion, Anne was hurt by being seen as a betrayal of her friend. She knew Gilbert had a warm affection for her, but she hoped he would realize they weren’t rewarded and he would value them Have done it Master what they don’t have. For her, Gilbert’s proposal was a betrayal of their friendship and she had to convince her that she had a chance first.

Phil said Anne’s concept of love came strictly from the novel, which may be correct. But she also thought that Anne couldn’t recognize this when she stared into her face, and I think it must be true. Rusty is an almost perfect description of how some people raise cats – he picks his own people and doesn’t refuse the answer, but leaves himself at home. Of my current seven cats, I get three ways: Carmine, Kathryn and Oliver, all of which are basically moving in. He has been around the block a few times and he decided that those houses are good. With the determination of a typical cat, he set out to do this for himself, who can blame him? Apparently, his choice of Anne had a good taste.

The details in the Rusty section of the episode are great, especially the way Aunt Jimsie sits down so that the cat knows herself. But if I say I really don’t appreciate the way Rusty (on Anne’s Anne’s Hat) sits up and roars at Gilbert, I’ll lie. He clearly took Anne’s best interests in mind, or at least let her come back. (Maybe he can keep her away from that place? That’s two No advice needed for that bench! )

We fly through the original material again, and this episode brings us to Chapter 23. I don’t like all the choices made here (although I’m glad that Aunt Jimsi’s scepticism about Phil’s sanity. There must be a more subtle way to showcase Dora and David’s growth, although it’s always tough for the series. There are forty-one chapters in the book and four episodes left, which isn’t entirely reassuring, but if they can keep tilting the emotional depth as they have done for the past two weeks, I think I’ll forgive them.
