While the promotional material lists this episode as the third episode of the Johnny Arc, that’s not the case. Instead, this episode serves as a continuation of our three yet-to-be-finished arcs: Loli, Ghost, and Johnny-Loli for most of the highlights.
Despite being upset during the attack by DJ Shindig, Loli and her father seemed unable to access the same page. Luo is a man driven by science’s obsession and responsibility, who find a way to control trust and fear, not just whimsical about the masses. He could see their current system, even in the committee, was unstable and a tragedy, as it could have made the original E-pole The Top Hero still possible. He has therefore become Loli’s absent father – although he would say that everything he did and did was to protect his own actions, which was to protect her, and everyone else’s actions. In this episode, he continues to try to do so – even though she no longer needs anyone’s protection.
On the other hand, Loli is not Luo’s little girl, and that has always been her problem. She is his daughter, she is a cute girl who loves cute things, but that’s not all her. Loli is brilliant and motivated, and she refuses to accept this fact even in a world where appearance means everything. Loli, like Lin Ling, has a true hero’s soul. She knows right and wrong and chooses to stand up every time without wanting it, even if that means being with top heroes like Ghostblade, or in the case of this episode, not bad.
On the other side of the story, we have the intertwined story of Ghostblade and Little Johnny. Little Johnny keeps figuring out that Ghostblade has killed his father, and it seems Ghostblade is ready to put Johnny under Uncle Rock’s command. But while Ghostblade never really cared about right or wrong, he did care about his daughter and he felt sympathy for Little Johnny’s father and his dying desire to protect his children.
Additionally, Ghostblade can see him lying in Uncle Rock – the whole story, the whole story about why little Johnny needs to kill is BS. Of course, Uncle Rock is his chess player, no chance, and sent E-SOUL to finish Little Johnny and Ghostblade, which puts us into the big action scenes of this episode.
My biggest complaint about this fight is that it happens in a dark room, and while his ambient lightning makes the E-Soul look so cool, it makes everything else harder due to the soft palette. It’s awful because the battle choreography is amazing as E-Soul uses his super speed to try to kill Little Johnny, while Ghostblade does everything possible to keep the young hero alive.
Then we went to the cliffs…the boy was a fool. Given what we know about Uncle Rock, the E-Soul looks very meaningful, but everyone feels the murderous effect. When he worked for Treeman, another other hero at the rally didn’t work, why he was here and how he learned about UFO travel was an imminent question. We have to see if Loli can beat him next week.

Random thought:
•I wonder if the next episode will give us some insight into why Nice committed suicide two years after these events.
• Objectively speaking, Nice is one of the more difficult enemies Loli can confront. Her armor neutralizes external trust forces, not internal forces such as Nice’s power and agility. She might be able to destroy E-soul.
•Everyone underestimated Loli. For a moment, Loli figured out how to create a handheld beacon that bypasses communication blackouts so she can protect her friends.
•I like Little Johnny has always known the small details of Ghostblade’s appearance and there is no need to attract people’s attention.
