It’s weird to call for a show like this Clevatess “Comfort,” given all the hardships our actors have suffered in the first five episodes, but I guess it’s just the natural result of a fun and exciting adventure in a unique fantasy environment. That’s why I can fall behind the development of Nelluru’s resurrection. Not only am I happy that such a kind woman has a second chance to live after decades of abuse, but her revival means and methods make it feel like the next stage of her character’s development, not just a cheap reset. Also, if I’m honest, I just think she’s the super-powered monster troll of Frankenstein right now, which is cool.
Now that Klen and Co. have both finished their terrifying encounter with Vroko and the Crow well, “Boolate’s March” offers us a dining table-style episode that has put us in a load of world building and fairs to make the upcoming storyline. This fact is significantly lower than the editing and animations this week, compared to the usual Clevatess Inauguration season. But, this is not a terrible thing. Each long form of fantasy story causes a small break in its main beat, and what we do here is enough to keep us entertained all the time.
First, we meet Gart, a bird servant of another dark beast, with an unforgettable title: Zavthier of Phantasms. I’ll definitely encounter more black beasts in this world, and Gart brings his news, which puts this growing adventure into a bigger backdrop. In addition to all the humanoid babies kidnapped by people like Ravens, Orklings and other wild beast children were also lost on Zavthier’s territory, suggesting that some grim plots will surely bring bloody fruit.
More directly, we learn that the human army has learned about Luna’s survival, which will surely bring conflict to our heroes, especially if a weird wizard like Maynard has something to say. I like that Clevatess Being able to start your own story with an adventure that is independent and contented in itself while still sowing seeds for a larger narrative. It’s a kind of confident storytelling that TV shows need to consolidate their lasting legacy. We’re still a little too early this season to be right Clevatess‘ Put it in larger words, but I’m glad to confirm that even with a weaker plot like this, it’s still a damn beautiful cartoon to watch every week.
