Episode 17 – Dr. STONE SCIENCE FUTURE

Despite its allegedly based on scientific premises, Dr. Stone Always demanding an incredible big pause to the audience – appropriate: This episode relies on Kohaku’s high athleticism against Kohaku. Look, we know she is very strong and agile, but crossing the gap hundreds of feet wide on a single interface usually only applies to those feats of tanned by kkingiansians. Kohaku’s absurd jumping ability completely destroys any pretense of this current plot, which will be entirely limited by actual consideration of something nasty like the laws of physics. Unless Senku secretly replaced Kohaku’s legs with a nuclear-powered piston engine off-screen, the seemingly convincing plot progress had long since left the building and entered orbit, currently catching up with Airline 1’s detectors, starting from the solar system.

This lack of credibility is not necessarily a criticism – I do love this incredibly stupid show, I just hope sometimes it’s more, well, down to earth. Last time we left Senku announced that he was building a cable car to climb the mountain, but it seemed to have been modified to cross the ropes and peach blossom bridge over the deep and wide ravine. To do this, he nibbles the wheels from the motorcycle and somehow magically hundreds of feet of high-strength steel and carbon rope. I’m not sure which hole he hides a lot of holes.

When the happy band realizes that some less cautious members of their group may need to travel together due to weight limitations, they may plan each other. Thankfully, despite their previous differences (usually murder), everyone invested in Senku’s mission to discover where the quasi-rocks are from, so even the best behavior of Xeno. The moment of the pulse sting, the sweet-looking little Suka is about to turn into a splashed gourd stain on the ground far below, which is again solved by Kohaku’s impossible reflection.

The suffering of the mountain is successfully conquered, and Senku and Pals arrive at the Amazon rainforest, hoping to escape Stanley’s ongoing aerial gaze. Unfortunately, Amazon has masked a variety of new threats, especially the terrifying parasites and dazzling insects. This is an ant extract without a small force! Senku brews an unsettling mixture that allows everyone to rub the skin like an antibiotic, covering her original porcelain skin of her original, stinky insect juice, making luna poor Luna foam in her mouth. This is not to say that this will help protect them from water-borne parasites, and Senku’s newly-produced rubber Wellington boots will only help a lot. Next time, Taiwan has a painful battle with gut protozoa and worm infections!

But, seriously, plot armor may protect our brave friends from the worst of squirming, squirming and unwelcome body guests. They have bigger things to worry about, in the form of a giant golden pyramid, seemingly made up of Medusa equipment. Did Senku discover one of those legendary golden cities, or something completely sinister…?
