Episode 13 – Anne Shirley

How will you rate it Episode 13 of

What’s wrong Anne Shirley Want to adapt to two novels in one novel? By skipping a lot Anne leaves Avonleait seems. If the pace slowed down last week, it will earn a truly impressive degree this week. Essentially, the episode skips ten chapters and talks little about the story, including Gilbert’s pursuit of friendship with Anne more. It works, but it’s also an amazing change because it didn’t go even in the first half of the year quite This is far away.

Speaking of the missing things, I believe cutting David and Dora’s backstory is a mistake. Now that I got it, it caught me off guard, and the reaction to David was so extreme. In a way that shrouded in some way, he was a novel from the early 20th century, and he was supposed to be read as a boy, not a sociopath, a child who didn’t know how to say it from the wrong one. The book suggests that he had no guidance from his parents before Marilla took him away, and his performance was a combination of “because he could” and crying. He and Dora fall into the Victorian gender metaphor: girls are naturally cute and good, boys are troublesome and Lapslio unless they teach otherwise. David is not, so he becomes natural horror. It must be because LM Montgomery worked hard to subvert with Anne, but the story is still a product of writing time. All of this is saying that when Davy provides help with the axe, it is not a sign that he is evil or likes to kill chickens. This is his role as a “man” in a time and place where he plays a family member and if you want chicken for supper, you go to the yard to kill a chicken. This is to show that he is learning.

Learning is the journey of this story! Poor Anne encountered another unfortunate run-in at her worst moment, accidentally waving the red dye on the freckles instead of her “freckle tonic”. This time, before her friend Priscilla appeared with her famous writer aunt and a wealthy New Yorker, I liked the episode coyly the way we couldn’t see her mistakes until she looked in the mirror – we saw everyone’s reaction and knew something was wrong, but she didn’t know her until Diana knew her great things in the way she was a real good friend. It said something Anne’s freckles bothered her. As people stared at or even leaned to look at her nose more closely, she immediately thought it was the freckles they were looking at. Touches like this make Anne such a lasting and adorable character – she is Humanwhich means she made mistakes such as leaving delicate China on the stairs where a five-year-old could destroy it.

Although it doesn’t work much (partly due to the first half of the series cut), Anne’s meeting with idol Mrs. Morgan is another learning experience for her. She and Diana are totally convinced that Mrs. Morgan is like her heroine-will, perfect and romantic. Instead, she was a little old lady wearing gray hair and glasses in Rachel Lynde’s mold, eliminating the girl’s expectations. But this shows that Anne may continue to live in your imagination, because what would Mrs. Morgan do without writing her own romantic fantasy like Anne once? Mrs. Morgan proves that you can do anything you dream of, no matter what you look like, making Anne’s freckle disaster nothing more than cheering on an interesting story.

Only ten chapters Anne leaves AvonleaI don’t expect Anne Shirley Spend more than two episodes to wrap it up. I don’t like the rushing pace this time, but I also suspect that if you don’t know, you won’t know (in this case, sorry), the upcoming storyline is so typical of Anne, I wish I would do a good job. I would be happy if my main complaint continued to be the inappropriate age hair and skirts and no one seemed to study what it looked like in the 19th century Canadian food (the cookies were bread, not cookies).
