Episode 12 – The Too-Perfect Saint: Tossed Aside by My Fiancé and Sold To Another Kingdom

Philea’s journey is about love. I realized that it sounds old-fashioned at best, but it was a central theme in her story. She didn’t know whether her parents grew up in love, either because of her vicious adoptive parents or her biological mother, who was a harsh teacher out of misleading feelings. Her fiancé certainly didn’t love her (or whatever) romantically, the only person who showed love to her was Mia – who felt inward afterward. While it is important that Oswat really falls in love with her, the bigger win is that Phili can accept that people love her in general. The prince is great, but it sees her worth through the eyes of others, which makes her take home for her.

Usually, this isn’t something I’m excited about, but in terms of Philia, she does lack recognition. She knew she was the strength of a saint. Maybe not how She is strong, but she still knows that she can do a lot, even if she doesn’t know how unusual it is. But she never really got praise for it, and she thought her biblical skills were nothing more than her duty–she was just doing her own work. In large part, it was because of how everyone around her treated her work as if she would do it and do it well. When she was sold to Panacota, she just thought it was because she wasn’t doing well enough. To make Philia’s full journey, she needs to see her value for those around her and her power (if not exceeding) her power. she It must be important, not just her job.

The final battle with Asmodeus was relatively boring, as having Osvalt as her position as guardian drove the struggle, while also showing the difference between his feelings and Asmodeus. Asmodeus claims to love Fianna, but he obviously doesn’t Know she. He thought bringing her back to life would make her love him, but because of the high price in life, it was impossible for her to be happy about it. Fianna gave up her willpower to help Philia. She thought Phili was worth it, but also knew that her time had passed. This is both a perfect condemnation of Asmodeus and a guarantee to Philia.

Do I hope Julius gets more punishment? Absolutely. I’m also not entirely sure of the unilateral forgiveness that Hildegaard deserves after treating Philia, although it’s not her fault either. Otherwise, I’m very satisfied with the ending. Sadly, Philia and Mia will continue to live separately, but now the relationship between Girtonia and Parnacorta is more normal, and they can visit each other, especially because Girtonia has alternate saints in Hildegarde. Most importantly, Phyllia eventually knew that her worth was more than just a saint. She is an emotional person, and if she still has some trouble reading the room or expressing herself, at least she has already started.

Phili has never been “too perfect”. She is someone who is forced to believe that she is nothing more than title and magic. Now, finally, she learned that life is more than just being a “perfect” saint.
