I’m always fun to adapt. Episode 2 of Episode 2 Anne leaves Avonlea part Anne Shirley Cut the pace in half (it covers three chapters compared to episode 11), which includes a scene from a church Green Gable Annie It is usually omitted and then carefully ends the plot with a different origin than its source. In this case, I can understand why; in this book, Marilla points out that Rachel Lynde will tell her that Davy needs a “good spanking,” even if this happened over a hundred years ago, it is not acceptable today.
But more importantly, this will weaken the focus of this episode. This week, Anne’s de facto siblings, David and Marila’s third cousin, Dora Keith. Before Anne, she might never have considered that Marilla brought the twins in (they weren’t formally adopted at this point in the book, but I suspect it was the backstory the anime was cutting; not a horrible option), and there was nothing to show how soft she was like Davy. David is like an Anne who is more interested – he knows more or less right or wrong, but he can’t completely help himself show it. But Anne has encountered some unwelcome actions that are stuck, which will only affect the majority Annie (Despite the gracious and line cake incident), David’s behavior puts everyone in trouble. It’s more or less – Davy, lately isolated, undoubtedly, no doubt that adults are more openly welcomed by his much-respected twins just trying to get people’s attention. He was hungry for love and attention, which made him underperform.
We see this most clearly in repeated questions about Paul Irving. Anne may have misled Davy’s attempt to compare him to her angelic student. she is hope Davy wants to imitate Paul, but the unsafe little boy sees Paul as his opponent. By contrast to Paul, he wanted his new sister to notice, but he was equally worried that his actions would make Anne (and Marira) angry at him. He didn’t know how to act, so he took action. This is Gilbert and “Carrots”, although in different contexts, again.
Like Gilbert Jr., David doesn’t mean any real harm. He was too young to understand locking Dora in his neighbor’s barn and then hinting that maybe she was trapped in the well, which would scare the adults. He thought it was fun to watch them run around like headless chickens. The expression on his face shows this very well – his somewhat sly smile, which is subtle, makes Anne, Marila and Mr. Barry not noticed. Every time he is not behaving, we can see that he knows what he is doing and how he behaves around Anne lets us know that he wants her to spend time with him. He was frightened by a good boy like Paul Irving, but he didn’t know how to express it and was upset with what he thought Paul was in Anne’s heart. In short, everything he does comes from a place that works, and punishes more than just “no supper” that weakens the message – and the patience and love that Anne and Marilla show the twins from the tender Matthew.
A negative note to this episode is that I don’t like the way Davy and Dora’s faces – they look weird compared to other characters. This does allow David’s expressions to be encountered clearly, but given the scene where Anne and Gilbert noticed the emerging feelings between Diana and Fred – the entire sequence is only proven by their facial expressions – I don’t think it’s a good excuse. But I would be upset by my troubles about Anne and Diana’s hair, the skirt is too short: not what I Will do it, but I’m still happy to see Anne leaves Avonlea The animation and generally satisfied with this plot.
