Episode 1148 – One Piece

Chapter 1148 one piece It’s a continuation of last week’s adventures and big events.

Bega Punk’s speech continues. One might say that this is the extent of the event, as he provides a very important exposition. But that’s not all. Like last week, Bega Punk continued his speech about rising sea levels. However, we also get a lot of new revelations about the century of sound. Or more accurately: the people of the world became more aware of these events. This is quite a landmark development, letting everyone in on the secrets that the world government has been trying to contain. Considering how long we as viewers have known these things, this seems like a minor note. It’s important to remember that this secret is worth killing and forms the basis of many of the core cast (Robin Ness being the most notable).

Overall it’s all very well delivered and delivered in a fun way. The response of the general public was expressive and consistent with what was revealed. Heck, even an extra surprise from an upset god or skeptical populace would be a nice addition.

The rest of the episode follows Luffy’s battle with Saturn and the Straw Hats’ escape. These segments are also attractive, but in different ways. Clearly, they give us more action than typical chatter. I also liked the irony of Bega Punk discussing Joeyboy’s strength and resilience while Luffy was clearly struggling with Saturn, who managed to burn through his armor Haki. Gave me a good laugh.

It’s always nice to see the Straw Hats team up to complete a mission, even if it’s a bit of a failure for them. one pieceCombat with multiple combatants is a rare treat, and the combatants in this fight offer pretty good attack options. Brooke, in particular, rarely gets into fights and at times I almost forget that he’s more than just a joke skeleton. Still, the battle ends relatively quickly and we don’t see much action. Still, this sequence does a good job of selling the importance of Edison’s sacrifice. The members of Vegapunk are all visually distinct, but I feel like their emotional impact is a bit mixed. This makes Edison even more unique and memorable in my opinion, which is a real feat.
