Episode 10 From the old Bangpkin to the master swordsman Managed to stuff all the people I like and dislike about the show into a neat TV show.
Let’s move forward with the worst foot and talk about my dislike. The new former member of the episode’s transformational warrior is Rose Marbleheart. To argue, let us abandon my recurring disgust for “former students were Berill’s potential romantic companions” and just accept the role. What exactly is Rose’s character? Her role is that she was once a student of Beryl, very skilled and fascinated by him. This makes her with…um…um…oh…wait, it’s like 60% of the characters with spoken dialogue. It’s so repetitive that I can’t take it seriously or invest completely. Even what Rose did to Beryl on the artificial date was no different from the few episodes of Allucia back to the few episodes. The only difference between all previous students is their hair color; besides that, it’s a copy and fit job.
However, there are still positive attitudes, and they also echo what I praised before. I like Beryl being invested as a parent, not just food and shelter, as he has been investing in Mewi’s progress in school and has committed to helping her read. Also, the situation around the princess and the battle scenes is very interesting. We get more mysteries and implications of a wider plot, as well as some really well-designed and choreographed action sequences. I know I sound like a record at this point, but I hope the show will remain in these patterns more often (or at least change the motivation and personality traits of his former students).
