Nothing in Washington, DC Minoji Kurata Expected. First, she was told to prepare for hot, wet weather so that she could wear traditional Yukata, but the air was unusually cool. She also wasn’t prepared for the American fans she called it “passionate”, which made her even play role-playing outside the convention, unlike Japan.

As she draws live sketches of Maomao, Jinshi and other characters, she answers questions by translating about her work Pharmacist’s Diary comicsthis Assassin’s Creed Comics and her favorite movie genre. Here are some answers from Kurata about her work, hobbies and life.
When she started drawing comics: “When I started drawing comics, I was four to five years old. I didn’t really want to draw comics; that’s just what I did.”
Her age when she first published the comic: “I think that was when I was seven.”
Her earliest inspiration: “When I was a kid, I used to do a lot of sketches Yu Yu Hakusho. ”
Her thoughts Pharmacist’s Diary Anime: “I wasn’t involved in anime at all…even though I was working in comics, it was based on light novels. I think I’m more of anime fans. When I looked at it, I thought, ‘Oh, Maomao’s action! It’s exciting!'”
She thought it was one of two artists working on different comic adaptations of novels on the same drug diary: “If I started working on this issue, it would take a whole day.”
How she conducts research Pharmacist’s Diary: “I went to China to take reference photos of many palaces and rural villages to get the look of the story.”
The simplest, the most difficult Pharmacist’s Diary Characters who painted for her: “Gao Shin is the easiest. The hardest thing to draw is Kim Hee because he looks beautiful, which makes me nervous.”
What would happen if she met Maomao in person: “I might keep my distance.”
If she could change the original material: “I’m considering taking Kim Hee and the Frog scene a little longer.”
Favorite character dynamics can be explained: “Between Jinshi and Maomao, I really like when they interact rather than as two people in a relationship, but rather a partnership to solve the mystery.”
The most challenging thing for her was: “I really hate doing the battlefield.”

She loves the feedback she receives: “When they say my work is easy to understand.”
Her digital drawing tool of choice: “Now, I’m using a clip studio.”
When she draws comics, it’s always on TV: “I love horror movies playing in the background. When it’s music, it makes me sleepy.”
Dream Comics Adaptation Project: “I really want to draw a horror comic.”
Why she is no longer as attractive as a hobby: “I used to doodle a lot, but now I have a kid, so now I focus on parenting a lot of my free time.”
Her daily work: “I have a workplace outside my home. I go to the office around 8am and usually end up around 4pm. If I really need to keep working, I stay until midnight.”
What she likes to do during her day off: “I walk the dog and then hike.”
Her job before becoming a comic artist: “I used to work at the company before becoming a comic artist.”
What she would never do: “I absolutely don’t want to work for a company anymore.”
