With the wave of immigration, Japan has become a turbulent combination of people and culture, and has been protested by xenophobic extremists who are unhappy with the new status quo. A savage, jumping young woman named Riko is driving her scooter while seeing a boy about to be hit by a truck. Riko just managed to push him away, and in the following hours she found herself caring for a boy named Eito.
Riko brings Eito out a bowl of ramen, but just as they are about to dig, Eito is shot by a distant army sniper. Plant-like tendrils stretched out from his arm and stopped in flight as the bullet pierced the dining room window and blew towards Eito. Who is this boy and why is the army behind him?
Amano is Monthly Young Magazine June 2019. Kodansha US Publishing Volume 7 was released in English on March 4.
