The English version of my comic “Sinbad” is at new york comic con It’s a huge honor. Sinbad takes place within the storyline of One Thousand and One Nights, which I’m sure everyone is familiar with. There is a story about Aladdin and the magic lamp in “Arabian Nights”, and Aladdin is Chinese. Although that’s not the case in the movie, haha.
This comic was the result of me wondering what would happen if the character Sinbad was actually Asian too. For research purposes, I read the Japanese translation of One Thousand and One Nights, but in the end, the story and its characters became my own original concept, completely different from the original. I sincerely hope everyone enjoys this story and I just wish the best for all of you. Thanks. ♪
