This year’s “Webtoons Go Global” theme will focus on the global expansion of K-Webtoons, which is growing in the cross-media adaptation

An event aimed at studying the current status and future of the web industry, the 2025 Webtoon Trends Conference will be held at KST on September 24 at 2:00 pm, at the Webtoon Convergence Center in Bucheon.

South Korea Manhava Directory Agents (Komacon) and Bucha City will hold meetings with the support of Gongjiji Province and Ji’angji Tourism Organization. This year’s theme, “Webtoons Go Global,” will highlight the global expansion of K-Webtoons and its growing role in cross-media adaptation.

Speakers include Redice Studio CEO Jung-Sook Jang; Faris Alrushoud, Founder Comic Arab; Infinitoon CEO Ana Paula Ribeiro will appear on industry trends in South Korea, the Middle East and South America respectively. Popular YouTuber and critic “Rainer” will provide keynotes in Webtoon IP Competitiveness and subsequent panel discussions.

The program will also address the role of global OTT platforms and international distribution networks in shaping the future of Webtoons and the successful adaptation of film and drama based on Webtoon IP.

On September 25, a follow-up conference titled “Imagination in AI Drawing: Imagination when AI meets comics and the web footsteps” will explore the integration of artificial intelligence with Webtoon content. Participants can join through pre-registration or on-site registration and offer prizes to certain pre-registers through OnoffMix.

Komacon, the largest in the world Manhava and bucheon’s Webtoon cluster, supporting international growth such as HIT champions, e.g. hell and Sweet home. The agency continues to play a key role in expanding the creative applications and globally for network networks.
