Well, it will definitely happen eventually, but this is another rare situation that hasn’t been available this week Witch watchThe shorts worked for me. This isn’t to say that these are particularly rough, or lacking in the show’s usual creativity, but they’re not that fun either, and it feels like the anime crew adapting a weaker one-time single chapter to the second case of a single episode. So it’s hard to be too bad about this, because that’s not to say that any shorts are not bad for this week’s execution, but the results are still a bit dull considering the materials they use.

First, we have a story about Nico and Morihito shrank to enjoy the donuts, which is probably the most creative donut, but also the one I hate the most immediately. I’m not usually shrinking the plots in these quirky sitcoms, and they’re personal darlings, so it takes especially fun to win my victory. It is worth noting that it does manage to move it in some unique directions. Nico expects fluffy fantasy as Morihito realizes that the shrinking size shrinks the mass of the muscles, and there is little depression even on Morihito’s superhuman superhuman power. This also reduces their lung capacity to the point where they can’t hear clearly about ordinary sizes, which is ultimately a problem when Nico falls into a pig bank, and Morihito has to try to seek help before being blown to death. “Only” is not exactly the same as “Funny”, and in this respect, it’s a little flat. While I think the brief concept is good enough, the joke isn’t very strong and none of them can laugh out loud. I can’t say I hate it, but by the end I was mostly ready and kept moving forward.

Unfortunately, the next one is the weakest because we encounter another situation involving Nico trying to help classmates ask about a crush. This time it was a girl who had been meeting another class of men in the bakery where she worked, and she was desperate to know what she thought of him. Nico’s solution is to make a weird bread voodoo doll that tells the person’s true feelings but can only communicate by blurring different types of bread. Even with the obvious repetition aside, Nico is trying to help someone’s love life, this problem runs into a bigger problem: it’s totally centered on word games. Word game-based puns are harder to translate from Japanese to English than any other form of comedy, and making them fun in English is a much more difficult task, so the brief job is to fight an uphill battle from the start. In this regard, I have to provide some serious props to the translators of the show, Megumi M. Tsuji To make this segment fundamentally mastered, and to propose a way to make these bread puns meaningful in English without getting rid of the core jokes. It’s impressive that this doesn’t change the fact that the core joke here is simply not very interesting, even without all the puns, it’s a semi-friction premise. I don’t know if I’d definitely call it the show’s weakest shortage, but now it’s probably the least, with a girlfriend with a similar name besides a classmate Nico’s last punch, which feels like it takes more time in the oven.

At least the last brief feeling here is more average, as it makes him lucky in the form of a birthday gift Nico gave to Morihito for Morihito. Since this involves the words “Nico”, “Morihito” and “Spell”, it goes without saying that Hijinks comes with it because Nico realizes that she’s accidentally hitting his spell, which makes him worse. Of course, this will be too simple Witch watch“Standard” So the actual twist here is that between his training and his overly serious attitude toward life in general, Morihito somehow explains everything bad things that happened to him. Whether he suffered from the rain pouring rain or sprinkled paint on his favorite vintage jeans, he still completely ignored any bad ideas that happened to him, and instead saw the former as a good training experience while the latter as a cool fashion statement. These are very solid jokes and make it a brilliant performance of the shorts this week, but while it’s fun, it does feel average and stand out compared to the show’s most interesting highlights, and two weaker shorts don’t hit it, but it doesn’t hit hard enough to compensate. The only other thing about it is that Morihito spent his birthday party where he hated others, which must have said a lot to him, but all of that was frustrating, it was a frustrating thing, a show that didn’t seem ready to unpack the package. Overall, I wouldn’t say I had a bad time on this episode, but none of these shorts hit everything and putting them together makes everything feel a little overwhelmed. Due to how high the average of this show is, I have no doubt that the shorts may be more interesting next week, but since the season is over, I can only hope that the show is nothing more than good from here.
