Episode 19 – Sword of the Demon Hunter


Well, it’s more like it, more. After a bust last week, it was one of the most satisfying parts of the series to date, linking these changes with overwhelming changes in Japan that look like the end of Jinya’s life in Edo. It’s an eventful plot, but effortless. There are some battles, but the most influential images are smaller.

For example, we see the fathers of two warriors, Jinya and Miura, made up of the rotating tops of their children playing in the foreground. Later, the Redubtable Restaurant owner made his last-ever shot of Ramen Dish, who also gave him his old name Sadanaga Hyoma Miura. (Samurai Miura never knew the ancient dock was his magical big brother, and he probably would never.) There is an image of a dragonfly on the blade of grass, as hard as Jinya and Miura Spar, and then at the end of the episode there is another dragon dragon, which lands with the rain.

Some plots remind you that Jinya and Ofu are in the same position as the anime heroine cosmeticor Freeze: Beyond the End of the Journeyor taking non-animated cases, Arwen Lord of the Rings. That is, their lifespan seems destined to bring them beyond everyone they love. Miura innocently commented on Jinya’s situation that had not changed at all in the decade he had known him. The spinning top from Jinya to the kids fell on the ground, and Jinya then snatched his foster daughter and left. He just walked through his daughter’s grave.

At least Junya and Ofu can get the last inspiring speech from Hyoma, the only one who knows that they both and still can’t keep it. It’s a great speech, but the closure is what the romping moment of Mustangs poses, like he has a camera. But of course, he can have moment – You can see it as an implicit condemnation of our generation, documenting life so much that we forget about it. (In the conversation, a brief close-up of the hyoma’s face enhances the preciousness now.)

I smiled with the obvious flag of death when Hyoma said he met them tomorrow. But Hyoma knew he was about to die, and death itself passed in a moment’s voice-over, allowing Jinya and Ofu to reflect the long road ahead, which would cause more losses.

Last week I complained that we had never met Miura’s bride, and she showed up quickly this time and was very happy to see her, especially when she turned to get rid of Genteel’s speech. She can bring it as a lady, but it will never be natural for her. There is also some clever discussion about Jinya’s ambivalent nature, knowing that he became more “human” in the Edo era, but is still locked in a demonic rage – two aspects of him explore Episode 16 (Fox Spirit) and 17 (Kiichi Duel).

Miura decides that he goes to Kyoto to fight Shogun, which is enough to get the screen Hatakayama to his demon Henchman, who is Sic Tsuchiura as Miura walks through town. Tsuchiura turned into a better Red Hulk than we’ve seen in the cinema lately. Jinya jumped to his friend’s defense – the battle drawings are OK, but mainly composed of sound effects and KenichirōMatsudaThe bass sound of tsuchiura.

It inevitably ends, and Jinya is forced to transform, revealing his demonic nature, making his demonic nature as well as Jinya’s wide-eyed daughter Nomari and a group of Edo civilians. Nomari will still love him, but maybe Jinya lost another close friend in Miura like Natsu last season. As Jinya disappears from the city that has been his home for most of the series, I’d love to see where his story will go. Just don’t waste it like last week, okay?
