So far, teacher Nuber’s love life is not what people call “success”. The only adult female character he has interacted with to date is Ms. Ritsuko, whose brief conversations are usually with her screams and running away or slapping his face. In her rather fragile presence, he stands out and cannot help the terrifying supernatural coward. The naughty student Miki can only use various divination methods to confirm that his love fate is nothing more than cursed. Even her tarot readings reveal seven upright “death” cards, which are impressively impossible levels, even if they probably should be “towers”. The reason then was, if Nube’s luck with human women was always named to keep it bad, why not seek love with the willing lady Yoko? This week’s guest opponents are very willing to cross the interspecies bridge of relationships.
Yuki-Nonna (literally translated: “Snow Woman”) is a famous Yokai in Japanese folklore and often appears in anime – one of the oldest examples is Springs IS Urusei YatsuraFriendly and friendly Oyuki. Teacher Hell: Jigoku Sensei NubeYukime is a beautiful blue-haired Yuki-nonn who descended from the hills and brought an unusually cold blizzard when she woke up, paving thick snow throughout the city, laying the entire city carpet and freezing the lake. She shares some history with Nube: Although a college student rescued ten-year-old Yukinko (child Yuki-none) Yukime from a hunter, leading to her declaration of eternal love for him and promised to seek his marriage once she became an adult. Noble could hear her angry snowstorm, and smiled, giving her a thumbs up, only complicating her motivation. Now, she is back, demanding that she is about to become the popsicle husband, although Nuber is not keen on a junior with a 15-year-old ice girl for about a decade.
It’s really humorous that Nube tries to stop her attempts by deliberately inappropriate dates. First, he takes her to a roast beef restaurant and then tries to steam saunas and stuffy rock concerts. Yukime strode forward, using only her power to freeze everything. Her ultimate goal is to freeze Nube so that they may spend an eternal love on the ice. It doesn’t sound interesting, but Nube’s attempt to get out of the wilderness of women didn’t go well.
Thankfully, Nube’s trusted students have been in a clumsy couple, with both Miki and Kyoko desperately dying to witness the moment of confession, and the boys seem to have been dragged away. Only their intervention can gain the opportunity to fight back with increasingly terrifying, missed Yukime. After escaping from the child, she even sent a large ice marking field to fly from the sky! Strangely, none of them terriblely strung together, their ice rent broke and bleed throughout the landscape, but I guess it wasn’t that kind of anime.
When the children’s dedication to the unfortunate teacher warmed Yukime’s heart and stopped her revelry, she still stole a proper smooch from him before leaving. She is a very interesting character and it seems she plays a repetitive role in the original story, so I hope she can get back to this version again soon. Her blue-themed design shows that if this episode teaches us anything, it is that Yandere Ice Girls are hot.
