Hololive Night Pulls Huge Grand Slam at Dodgers Stadium – All the News and Reviews from Anime Expo 2025 [2025-07-14]

Everything I’ve been to Animation Expo This year, the Hololive night at Dodgers Stadium has to be the best of all. This is my first time in 17 years at a baseball field because I’m not a sports fan at all, but seeing all the Hollololivery on Jumbotron and the fan interactions on the field is a real home run for me.
The leadership to Hololive Night is so fun that it is impossible not to be intoxicated by the atmosphere. When the game ends with manic joy, worship fans flock to the field. Admittedly, these fans were the few who played the Dodgers that day – if I guess, that was about 10-15% of the attendees. This makes things better; these norms have risen and left, which drives us weird and geeks crazy with vtuber worship.
The ceremony was conducted to hype everyone’s stream. Fans ran around the field and danced in Hololive role playAnd my personal favorite, formed the Plusshiemounta. A circle formed in the middle of the field, they pay tribute to their favorite VTuber by throwing plush people into a pile. The more plush crowds you drop, the more enthusiastic the crowd becomes. Even when everyone seemed to have used up all the plush to contribute to the pile, fans continued to chant “More, more, more!”

As you can imagine, the excitement will loosen once the VTubers drive into Jumbotron. this Youtube The stream keeps the audience’s volume at a light white noise level, but as someone there, I can tell you it’s a deafening rant. Unlike the Dodgers that night, the Hololive VTubers didn’t hit once.
The stars of the night are Biboo, Ina and Irys, who introduce themselves accordingly. Ina releases her world-famous “waaaaaaahah” and encourages the crowd to be part of themselves, bringing the crowd to the fanaticism. Ina and Irys also introduced themselves to the crowd, and Irys chatted that she was happy to be with everyone at the Dodgers Stadium. But when she realized she was with other VTubers, she had to stop herself and brought a lot of fans on the baseball field. “This is referring to Irys asking, “Our fans literally…touch the grass?” ! “The obvious joke is certain, but I laughed. Props to Irys, see the chance and hit the home run.
After the VTubing trio briefly discussed what VTubing is, the night divided itself into three main parts. First up is a staring game where fans have to wear their most intense fighting faces and stare at their Vtuber idol. You may feel the intensity of their gaze because they always look like the edges that burst out from the skull, which puts them in some fun moments. A biboo Role Player Give all of these the best, most determined gaze. “She stares at our souls!” Biboo joked. “Are you me? Am I you? Which one is the real me? Did I blink? I don’t even know.” Biboo will tease Role Player Hopefully she smiled and blinked, but to no avail.
The second part involves a dance competition where fans must match the rhythm and movements of other VTubers dancing on Jumbotron. Because I had two left feet, I didn’t feel the rhythm, and I didn’t even learn dance moves. But I guess that’s OK, as my awkward dance manages to make it Jumbotron with pure stupid luck. Hey, I’ll get what I can get.

The third and perhaps the weirdest part is the mascot game. “It’ll be a little special,” Ina announced. “Because we want some high. Octane. Action!!!”
Again, if sports are a religion, please consider me an atheist. However, this game is definitely a sporting event that I can fall behind. Mascots Shuba Duck and Udin dabbled in the way they entered the venue, while metal guitars were their entry theme. Udin via biboo said, “I came here to watch baseball and kick some ass. I just finished watching baseball!” (By the way, salute to their live reference) Meanwhile, Shuba Duck chanted through Irys: “Shubashubashubashuba, Shuba Shuba, Shubashubashuba Shuuu Baaa!”
The competition started with more crowds and wasn’t even close. The moment the race begins is the moment Shuba Duck will start running, which means the race is over. Shuba Duck will win a huge victory because the waterfowl mascot performs a victory dance that will leave Udin breathless.
Other VTubers made cameo appearances between these events to add some fun. You can imagine the stadium was full of hype when Hololive Myth entered Mori Calliope. Mori encouraged the crowd to shout “Mori, Mori, Mori”, and although given the strength of the crowd, I’m sure they would do it without a doubt. Takanashi Kiara encourages everyone to shout “Kikkeriki” and Ina comes back with the last “Waaah!”. Then, Hololive’s promise went to Jumbotron, Irys with Ouro Kronii Hakos Baelz. I wasn’t surprised they would go to the fields, but I was still screaming when I saw everyone’s favorite Australian sage queen pop up. The moment I exploded? At that time, I saw Holo Justice and Holo Advent Gang Grace Grace in their own special segments. It brings back memories of seeing them recently Boston animeexcept how I made the serious mistake of fuwamoco is the girl of the cat (yes, I should be baked forever for this).
VTubers ended their night with a concert where they performed some of the biggest hits alongside other Hololive members who had graduated. Obviously this is bittersweet. A friend of mine told me through discord: “It’s sad to end with connecting the world and break the size – it’s the last time Hololive en is together” Maybe, but seeing everyone in a big epic show like this is still a very satisfying way to conclude that the epic night I will never forget.
