Here we are with Loli – I can’t help feeling that we are missing a big part of her story. In this episode, we can see the Loli suit in her new prototype armor and defeated former hero DJ Shindig. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a cool fight and a fun action climax, but it feels like Loli isn’t a superhero yet, let alone finishing her character arc.
The episode of Loli’s Heroism is largely invisible. No SNS, no live streaming – no trust gained. She had only a few guards in a highly secure lab, some scientists and a drunk lady as witnesses. Furthermore, in the end, Ghostblade (already a supreme hero) was shocked by killing, presumably receiving all the honors.
This begs the question: How did she turn from an intern who works with a part of the company to an actual superhero who patrolls the streets? When did she have a big rest? When will she join one of the new heroes of FOMO? How did she climb the team to become the sixth-ranked hero, even surpassing Cyan and e-soul along the way? What made people accept her, did they know the woman under the mask?
Then there is the hanging line of her character arc. She wants people to accept her like she does – a cute girl and a superhero. At the end, did we see this happening? Not really. The scientists and the guards didn’t know that this was the Loli in the lawsuit, so they wouldn’t have any objections. When her father found out that it was her clothes, he reacted badly, just to apologize briefly and explained that he was just worried about her, but that’s what we got! He was immediately distracted by the fear particles she held.
To be fair, he is not the only one. This episode itself is more interested in the fear research perspective than binding to Loli’s story. For a year, Cyan has spent a good portion of all the big agents and committees themselves meetings since he fought the orphanage a year ago. Additionally, Loli’s big battle with DJ Shindig is designed to show that trust-based powers won’t affect her, and fear isn’t something we see without being infected with holding particles.
This led to the discovery of the big field on the left, where aliens had even crashed on Earth before. In addition, their ship is made of a metal that encloses trust and fear abilities, which Loli uses as an alloy in the armor. This is a game-changer that can frustrate the entire hero-centric world.
Fortunately, this mysterious metal has some warnings. It won’t take away their power. Instead, the armor made of it prevents the force from directly affecting the wearer. For example, this means the Queen cannot change the gravity around Loli and fire her into the air. However, Lin Er can use his super strength to hit Loli, and the mysterious metal does not help mitigate the blow.
It’s an interesting wildcard to incorporate it into it and it will undoubtedly become important as the series continues. I just hope its existence does not cut off the origin story of Loli.

Random thought:
•Good news, if you can, the next arc is about Ghostblade. Maybe we will find out why he became a stalker in his spare time.
•I wonder how alien metal will react to the power of Hero X. Will the reality around change, but stay the same? If so, it looks like Loli, not Queen, would be the best chance to fight against Hero X.
•I still want to know how trust affects Loli in particular. Will this make her stronger or smarter? Will the lawsuit prevent trust from having any impact on her? What should I do when she is not wearing clothes?
• From a fact that we know that people recently have the order of X titles (Hero X, Bowa, Smile and Matchstick/MS. BlazingFire), DJ Shindig must be X before the story events happen.
