Episode 11 – Ninja and an Assassin Under One Roof

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, how this series uses continuity to impress me. Instead of pressing the Magic Reset button and returning to the status quo, the show takes the consequences of the jack-based situation and plays it completely directly. This, in turn, allows for some serious character development – this week’s plot is a great example.
Last week, we turned Konoha into a child, from infant to school-age children in just a few days. When she returned to her normal age, she now had two memories—one that prompted a teenage girl to become an almost ruthless murder machine, one that sets of emotions that allowed her to grow up in a loving environment…with Satoko as a mother. No doubt this is just the beginning.
Even before the event that stood out, Konoha was close to Satoko – Konoha and Roboko reached the same level. This means she is already in a crucial state in Konoha’s life. Combining these two things together and adding the fact that Konoha doesn’t want to kill those people even when assigned to work, nor her people, it’s no surprise, except that she just wants to indulge in normal life with the people she cares about.
Of course, in fact, normal life is still out of reach. It seems you can’t give up on assassin anymore, but rather be a ninja. So if Konoha just stops killing, the assassin will soon be sent after her – in this case she will be the same as Satoko.
Worse, while Konoha still has the same skills as Satoko had before she met Satoko, her new personality is getting in the way you are. This leads her to overthink rather than act instinctively. After all, we see Konoha killing several times while monologue or distracting. Now, Konoha is the one who lost her mind and she opens up her attack.
On the other side of the story, we have Satoko looking to support Konoha more. Unfortunately, what Satoko doesn’t seem to understand is that there are many different forms of support. All her cooking, cleaning and body disposal are supportive, and so are their friendships. Emotional support is as important as support in battle.
In fact, Sato fights and gets hurt in a fight that she probably shouldn’t have fought, which will actively hurt Konoha. This leads the assassin to make choices based on emotions and distracts her at critical moments.
So here we are on the last cliff of the series. Konoha is on a dangerous mission and is distracted by her concerns about Satoko. Meanwhile, Satoko returns home and actively plans for a more dangerous battle, now a child Marin as her only protection. We just need to watch it in the last episode of next week to see how everything goes away.

Random thought:
•Satoko doesn’t even stage it for teeth and eyes (she even changed the text icon to show both).
•I was a little shocked that Marin was able to look at her friends. Even if she couldn’t let her sister fix it biologically, I was surprised that she wouldn’t let Satoko be the eye of a robot.
•I’m glad this episode’s big “breakup” battle lasted only a few minutes before realizing it was just a bit of mood. It feels more realistic than the situation where similar events occur in the anime, and the characters won’t speak in a few weeks.
• Must like to find a secret torture dungeon basement.
