Suzuki shared a story about Nagamine in his X/Twitter post. They met in 2010, when Suzuki was working on ” One Piece Movie Z. The first script he proposed was quickly scrapped. The script was then based on the story of former Admiral Z based on an idea proposed by Nagamine. “In the beginning, he didn’t even smile at me. I thought he was being harsh, and there were moments when I lost confidence,” Suzuki said. He added that when he finally completed the script and met with Nagamine, Nagamine bowed deeply and said “thank you for your hard work” when he entered the conference room. “I almost cried at that moment,” Suzuki said. He added that Nagamine puts his heart and soul into his work.
