Fortunately for all of us, stars brighter than the sun seems to have found the right development for the romantic plot: we know Sae and Koki like each other, but they are Still figuring it out…and moving in the direction of confessing my feelings at a very natural pace.

I really like that about them; they’re very supportive and invested in making sure Sae is okay. They were both smart enough to realize that even if they suspected that Koki reciprocated her feelings, Sae wouldn’t believe them because she had already established the opposite in her mind. Their job is to support her, not harp on her, and they take that very seriously. Almost everything he said and did expressed his concern for Sae, but she wouldn’t believe it unless he said it himself. It took a lot of courage for him to ask her to meet on Sunday. I daresay he’ll make the most of this opportunity, especially since he won’t have to contend with his mood-killing mom.
