Agency says actor ‘exhausted’ after being slandered on social media
Talent agency Haikyo Voice cast announced Friday Bunkichi Shiotani Limit some of his activities.
The agency explained that Shiotani had been “exhausted” and had been forced to suspend his work because of “slander and false information” spread on social media services such as X/Twitter and online forums, as well as “the behavior of some of his fans.”
The agency said it was consulting with lawyers and prepared to take legal action against those who posted such information, and would take “severe” action if similar posts were made in the future.
Shioya said on his X/Twitter account that he will strive to do a “reasonable amount” of work while continuing to consult about his health.
