The company describes the game mechanics:

The tag team system allows players to switch between fighters, providing the opportunity to extend combos, counter enemy tactics, or turn defense into offense with well-timed switches. Combat revolves around four core moves: targeted combos, counterattacks, guards, and unblockable attacks, as well as tactical options like evade and counterattack to escape danger. Players can build their own Plus Ultra gauge for a chance to unleash the Plus Ultra Combo, a devastating finishing move where all three fighters combine their monstrous abilities to deal massive damage. Combats can be made more intense with Rising!, a special status that increases attack power, movement speed, and recovery. Once the meter fills up, Rise can be activated, giving players the edge they need to claim victory. When the battle comes down to one character, Rise Up! Automatically activate and turn the tide of battle.
