Due to health reasons and in consultation with his family, Haato will continue to rest to prioritize recovery.
VTuber agency Cover announced on October 31 that hololive VTuber Akai Haato will be discontinued. Haato’s agency stated, “Regarding Akai, in consideration of her health condition, after discussing with her family, it was decided to suspend performances.”

Cover added that comments made by Haato during recent live streams have been censored to spread rumors and defamatory comments based on speculation about other talent. The Company will take civil and criminal action against those who continue to engage in spreading rumors and defamatory statements.
Cover and Haato have yet to announce a return date.
Hato started her vtubing career in 2018 as a first-generation cover vtuber. Akai Hato portrays himself as a “fashionable kōhai” character.
