2nd American Manga Awards Announces Nominees – Interest

Celebration of comic creators, publisher in New York City on August 21
Japanese society and Anime New York Announced the second nominee for American comics Awards on Monday. The reward category and its respective nominees are as follows:
Professionals with North American comic publishers with editorial skills will vote on the winners. San Francisco-based comic translation and publishing team Studio Proteus Will receive the Comics Publishing Hall of Fame Award. Recipients include founder and editor Torun Smith;Translator Dana Lewis,,,,, Alan Gleasonand Frederik Schodt;Comic artists and letters TomokoSaitō;Comic creator Adam Warren; and comic letters Tom Orzechowski and Buhalis Law.
The ceremony will be held tonight on August 21 at the Japan Association in New York City Anime New York The event begins. The American Comics Award celebrates comic creators and publishers who have made significant contributions to the popularity of comics in North America and Japan.

Last year’s inauguration was held in New York City in August.
