Episode 4 – Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon Season 2

With this episode, we finally see how to unfold outside the transparent lake level of the dungeon.

What I like most about this episode is presented in everything logically and thoughtful. With Hulemy released, she can jury juror portal. The question is, where did they go? Their choice to settle is the origin. Although its citizens are usually the weakest, there is a door on the surface. Also, after the trouble began, April Fools went to the floor. There is no better starting point.

Additionally, with the village now safe and rebuilding, our three main heroes are spared, which is the best choice for the expedition. After all, only Hulemy can travel two-way again, Boxxo is a near-infinite source of food and clean water, and Lammis is far more physical than mortals. Adding unfortunate places to the equations, if the floors are completely overspent, they have excellent chances of survival. Or, in other words, our heroes are chosen for this mission because they fit it best, not just because they are the protagonists of our story.

While understanding the state of things at the origin level is important for world building, and reunion with Fools is a welcome inclusion, the real purpose of this episode is to introduce our latest supporting character: Hevee. On one level, Hevee is a joke character. He is a footwear-addicted pastor. No, it’s not a fetish – he doesn’t care about those wearing shoes or feet. He just loves the journey that shoes tell and goes through the journey that touches, smells and…drinks from the shoes.

Of course, another level of Hevee explains why people endure his weirdness. Although Hevee is a capable therapist, he is a master of fantasy and mind manipulation of magic. Not only is he able to use invading monsters to eliminate violent prisoners (if pragmatic, it’s unsettling indifference, if odd), he can collect dozens of civilians (if not hundreds) and keep them hidden among all monsters in a few days, and have a fantasy that none of our heroes can see through it.

While our heroes aren’t too close to escaping dungeons (or getting reinforcements from outside), while Hevee supports the fool’s Menagerie everywhere, it seems that evacuating the Origin layer is a real possibility. Now, it all depends on Hulemy’s ability to get Teleport Gate to work before the next major crisis comes.

Random thought:

• The use of light in the shadows in the opening scene is much more than I expected from this show. Even if it only takes a few seconds, it gives animators the chance to bend their muscles and show what they can do.

• When Lammis wears several layers of clothing and petticoat, pulling Suori into the pool is a dick action. In addition to ruining her clothes, she might have drowned the girl.

•Have we met the Director of Origin before? Honestly, I don’t remember.

•I was with Boxxo on him, not in a kind spirit. Hevee’s footwear fetish makes others uncomfortable, and he doesn’t care that it’s uncomfortable. Boxxo’s obsession with vending machines is his stuff that he sticks to and doesn’t force others to participate.
