K-Story & Comics in America Generates US$15.77 Million in Potential Export Deals at KCON LA 2025 – News

Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Korean creative content agency (KOCCA) announced on August 4 that K-Story & Comics in the United States was held in Los Angeles from July 30 to August 3, achieving “significant results” in promoting Korean comics and overseas Webtoons.
The event aims to strengthen the global influence of the Korean comics and networking industries, combining business-to-business (B2B) with business-to-consumer (B2C) exhibitions. It provides export consulting, targeted sales conferences with US companies, and K-Webtoon display cabinets in partnership with 2025 KCON LA to increase brand awareness in the North American market.
74 North American companies participated in the B2B program, including major US studios Alcon EntertainmentLion Gate, and Tomorrow’s studioalso Penguin Random HouseGlobal network imprint inklore and comic publishers Tokyoopop.
10 Korean companies – such as Donut Pitch, Dccent, Reus,vivrave, ylab Earth, Kenaz, KW Books, Takeone Studio, ToryComms and Toyou’s Dreams – Exploring collaborations in joint planning, investment and production. Kocca reported 231 export consultations, totaling approximately $15.7 million.
On the consumer side, more than 25,000 visitors attended the K-Story & Comics booth at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
